Not true - I want to organise drinks for meets please :)

Also your nickname...come on give us a clue...

Thats okay - an informal club and meets is fine, but as far as a AAA club is concerned I'm thinking it was a step too far maybe.

The nickname reason is the obvious one.;)

Shame that the interest isn't there for a club :( Never mind maybe we can still meet up for mini runs/meets and a few drinkey poo's.

Oh and whats this Rich that Becky gets the PM with all the details....*walks off head in air all jelous!*

I loved the idea of a club! bummer... but it was going to be a lot of work for someone, even with set roles... it would have still needed a coordinator and would be a big undertaking....

definately up for minimeets and runs as an entity, even if we don't go down the affiliated route.......
I'm just a seething mass of contradictions....

    Morning All,

Done my 6 mile hill run today and really felt like I was going for it but only managed a time of 59 mins which I;m actually quite disappointed with...hmmm was I underestimating my 10K before or did I just not run as fast as I thought today...I'll have to think on that and get back to you...

I have realised though that short distances are not where I put in my best times which is good because I'm training for a marathon not a 10K :)...

Hope you all good running days!

I would be VERY happy with 59 mins for even a flat 6 miles!! You did hills and so it is a most acceptable time in my opinion!

I have to work tonight as well as today, so I can't see any chance of getting a run in, even a short one - I will have to hope that I can do something tomorrow.

Have a good run today, everyone.

    Hi everyone

Becky, I thought of you early this morning then I rolled over for an extra 15 winks :D

I did run home last night and whilst I didn't do the loop of Clapham Common (forgot about the fireworks display, til I saw the security staff and scaffolding), I almost managed 6 miles in just under the hour - actual time is on the Garmin at home and I'm posting from work :naughty: .

Cycled to work this morning so the legs are feeling a little stiff. Will walk to the snack machine later :j

    Have a good day all.
