    Heya everyone!

Just wanted to say a HUGE thank you for all my birthday messages :) You guys are the best! :j

I was meant to go out running in my lunch break today but I got called home due to Emily's school having a powercut and they kicked all the kids out! I then ended up with a houseful of noisy tweens as they had no where to go! So have been looking after them all day whilst trying to work from home.

I will have to change my day to tomorrow and get out there for a 4 miler. Meant to rain tomorrow but will have to done my beanie hat thing and just get out there! Hopefully the weather will be ok! Gutted as really wanted to run today as well :( Oh well, these things happen!

    Hope everyone is ok xxx

Well I'm not a student and I'm not called Phil - and I'm also none the wiser!:p

Studentphil's one of the heaviest posters on the MSE forums.

Some speculate he's either one, or a series of, troll(s).

His persona is a very depressed, miserable and (despite his name) a now unemployed former librarian former student.

Sure you'll bump into him at some point...if you're lucky :)

Where are we at with the club plans? Have i missed any developments?

    No, you haven't missed anything.

I stopped mentioning it to see what real interest existed and there was basically nothing at all until a couple of questions asking what progress about two weeks later.

Another attempt to see what interest there was led to no responses at all.

So I think its a case of 'seemed like a good idea at the time' but probably not appropriate for these circumstances.

Just to add to the race plans, anyway, will be having a go at the "Merthyr Mawr Christmas Pudding 10k Challenge" on Dec 14th if they're not full by the time my entry gets there...Have to work out what shoes I'm gonna wear though - fear sand and river running will muck my shiney white ones up a bit, but don't fancy running that far in anything too bad...

Also plan to do the llanelli half in march with any luck :)

Idio, first rule of running - when you buy some new shoes, find some mud and run through it!:p
