Today was a repeat of Sunday's run,or rather the introduction of the 'midweek distance' run to start easing the mileage up. So nearly 2 minutes quicker than Sunday on a lower pulse was perfectly satisfactory.
Highlight of the run was sending a workman crashing to the ground. Some new roadworks have appeared today and there was a chappie leaning on his brush on the edge of the pavement. As I ran past he decided to step backwards. Despite trying to avoid him at the last second, the glancing blow along with the fact that all his weight was on the brush sent him down like a sack of spuds.
Anybody guess how much sympathy he got from his mates?:p
I looked backwards and gave one of those mock apology hand signals that tennis players are so good at after gaining a spawny point.
I've just run back through there on the return journey and got a cheer!:p
And the moral of the story? Hi-Viz jackets might have some uses, but they won't protect you from idiots like me!!!!Gt NW 1/2 Marathon 21/2/2010 (Target=1:22:59) (6:20/mile) 1:22:47 (6:19):j:j

Another good run then Rich...you make me feel lazy! Had to laugh about the workman, that will teach him and I always like to get one up on them as they are always learing and shouting/laughing at other peoples misfortune!I'll make a wish, take a chance, make a change And breakaway.
