me too maz grrrrrr. Whats more annoying is that I actually got onto the page and started to search then it kicked me out...so much for their limit to allow those on there to complete their bookings!

    Morning All!

Did my 4 mile easy run today in 43 imns but was feeling the efforts of yesterday! The early mornings are starting to take hold now - today was the first time I thought - I'll just go back to sleep and do my run this evening - but I forced myself to get up and I feel so much better for it :)

5am start tomorrow for an easy 10K - I'm going to do the same route as Thursday and try to knock a minute or two off the 59mins!

    Have good runs everyone!

Well done on overcoming the 'go back to bed' voices.

These type of sessions, although a bit of a grind, are all investments in making your future runs much easier, and faster.

5am is impressive - you are showing a very disciplined approach to your build up, so I suspect you will achieve what you're aiming for!

Hi all, I've been laid up all week with a horrible cold and still not 100% so going to carry on recovering over the weekend and hopefully be back on Monday.

I'm going to book our places for Leeds 10km when I get paid at the end of the month.

Well done to everyone for getting out there!

Okay so Rich has inspired me to post a progress report...I havent really been keeping an eye on my times too much but here's my mileage for the last few weeks (days missing are rest days!):

    Week 1 Tues 4.25, Weds 4.25, Thurs 4.13, Fri 4.25, Sun 10 Total 26.88
    Week 2 Tues 4.25, Weds 4.25, Thurs 4.79, Fri 4.25, Sat 6.79, Sun 7.5 Total 31.43
    Week 3 Tues 3, Weds 4.25, Thurs 6.57, Fri 4.16, Sun 10 Total 27.98
    Week 4 Tues 4.3, Weds 4.3, Thurs 6.57, Fri 4.3, Sat 8, Sun 6.71 Total 34.18
    Week 5 Tues 4.3, Weds 4.3, Thurs 5.22, Fri 4.3, Sun 12.04 Total 30.16
    Week 6 Tues 4, Weds 4.3, Thurs 6.13, Fri 4.3 Total so far 18.73

    Total to date 169.36

I've got a 6.71 tomorrow and a 10 on Sun so that takes me up to 35 miles which will be my highest workload so far!

From next week I'm going to start noting down times so I can see if I'm making any progress there and I have my second 12 miler so I'm going to try and shave a few mins off my 1.59 time last week :D, since I'm not at work next week I have the perfect excuse to run at a sensible time!

I'm hoping that target time is getting closer every week and that keeping a note will stop me from getting that 'I dont want to get out of bed' feeling again :p

    Happy running everyone.

evab - sorry to read you have not been feeling well - I hope you feel much better soon.

    becky......we are not worthy :o:D

I am NOT a morning person - well I can get up, I just can't "function".......I always have good intentions though!

I am hoping to run with Pania tonight - not sure how far we will go.....either 4 or 6 miles I suspect with a longer run on Sunday.

    Have a good day everyone!

Thanks Hypno but the funny thing is - I actually love it - if i didnt do that much I would feel rubbish...plus when you see other runners sprinting past you its a good motivation to be better next time...and this is very shallow of me, but I also love the fact its making my body slimmer - I've always been small, but now I feel like my shape is changing its amazing the effect all this running is having on my thighs :)

Have a nice run with P!

Well I've woken up up with a stomach upset today - which effectively settles my "should I run today?" argument I was having with myself.

Want to try my longest run so far tomorrow/sunday - am thinking of mapping a 15 miler...oooh! :)

    That is a 'oooh'.

Getting into serious territory now, Idio. But go for it - as you know the sense of satisfaction when achieving a new 'longest' is quite something.

You'll be in touching distance of a marathon before you know it - you're getting to the addiction point I think!
