Tonight I have committed myself to...........The Southend half marathon. No its not in a couple of months time. Not even a month. It is ...............Sunday!
Yes I am fit enough to get round. I have been training and did the Hatfield 10k on Bank Holiday Monday, but on this occassion I will be happy to get round as I have not really specifically prepared for the distance. It will be a good day and will be good training. I will give a full report after the event.“The primary cause of unhappiness is never the situation but your thoughts about it.” Eckhart Tolle0 -

I'd love to join but my fitness goal is for mountain biking, not running
I couldn't run if my life depended on it so I take my hat off to those of you who are taking part and I'll be here for moral support in abundance
me too. i did 10 miles yesterday and had to spend the day on the sofa today. Since I started biking in Jan I now have calf muxcles and am starting to think, maybe I could run, but would be too embarrassed in case I collapsed after a couple of yards. Might go and try in the dark sometime.Anyone who lives within their means suffers from a lack of imagination:beer:
