Can you remember twisting your knee awkwardly at any point? Or does it feel like a result of all the regular pounding?
No don't remember twisting it at all, just seemed to come on after my run last friday (could feel it when I was running) and has got worse since then to be honest. Going to take a nice easy swim with DD tomorrow.I'll make a wish, take a chance, make a change And breakaway. I'll take a risk, take a chance, make a change and breakaway ....

I'm so upset - I ran for about 2 minutes and then had the worst asthma attack I have ever had. Had to turn back and come home and I've only just stopped wheezing.
I feel like this  and this"I wasn't wrong, I just wasn't right enough.":smileyhea97800072589250 -
Aww snaggles, that sounds horrid. Stressing about it will only make it worse, and will act as a demotivator, so just draw a line underneath today and look forward to your next run. (((hugs)))
I am having a rest day today - not intentional, just not enough energy to go roundTomorrow I am at work then at a seminar so not enough time to do a run, so will wait until Friday when I hope to have caught up with myself a bit. I have done a couple of 4 milers already this week, so am not worried about missing today.

Morning All,
Snags - It could be the cold that caused it - Hypno's right - just scrub it off and start again next time, we've all lost sessions one or another, its pretty nasty for you though so please be careful and dont push yourself too hard!
Did my hill run today - although only managed 5 out of 6 miles due to a small niggle that I didnt want to get any worse...
Feel great though - I really worked up those hills today and made some effort on them which is progress as usually I'm just willing myself up them...definitely getting easier, which will hopefully help me in my 12 miler on Sunday - eeek!
Have a good run day everyone!0 -

Good work Becky - you're starting to feel the benefits of regular, steady work building up your strength.
There's hardly a runner around who doesn't have some sort of niggle or other - so, as you have sensibly done, the key is in not letting a niggle develop into anything more serious.
So do you think you'll be feeling ready to tackle your first 12 miler come Sunday?Gt NW 1/2 Marathon 21/2/2010 (Target=1:22:59) (6:20/mile) 1:22:47 (6:19):j:j

I'm pretty excited although I have lots of party time coming up this weekend so hopefully wont be too tired...
I'm going out to one of the larger London parks as well so hopefully I wont get lost :rotfl:
I'm not setting even an 'in the mind time' for this - I'm just thinknig about doing the distance - is that okay or should I be working towards something?0 -

Morning all,
4 miles last night - 38.34
Maybe could have knocked a slight bit off as it was pitch black in a few places and think I slowed slightly. Was nice to get a run out though.Total Debt now £22,525.07 Start Debt £32,732.36

Beer tins checking in.
Well I played football last night and the knee isn't giving me any trouble. So back to my early run on Friday and long weekend run if all goes well. Going to go an easy pace just in case though.
Sally, I hope your knees sort themselves out soon.
Snaggles, sorry to hear about your asthma attack. Just put it down as "one of those things" and draw a line under it. Next time you go out will be different and you may not feel it at all.
P.S. I did play footie in my shorts, does that make me tough? :rotfl:Running Club targets 20105KM - 21:00 21:55 (59.19%)10KM - 44:00 --:-- (0%)Half-Marathon - 1:45:00 HIT! 1:43:08 (57.84%)Marathon - 3:45:00 --:-- (0%)0 -

We can't be having that Beer Tins - otherwise every footballer would be a honorary northerner - and that just can't be right!:pGt NW 1/2 Marathon 21/2/2010 (Target=1:22:59) (6:20/mile) 1:22:47 (6:19):j:j
