A very soggy run today, but I don't mind rain as long as it isn't accompanied by strong winds so no complaints there.

Anyway, a really enjoyable run with a lot of strength building in the muscles. Just another 2 days left in the 8-week fitness plan, but it all seems to have come together nicely as planned.

You're a machine, rich! A mad, running, machine!

It's funny to think, 6 months ago I'd have assumed you were some kind of superhuman/kenyan to be running 4 10ks in 4 days, whereas now, whilst still impressive, it seems almost achievable...
    What's the plan post-8-weeks, then?

Ah, but a 104 pulse - you see, even lazier than yesterday! :p

From Monday onwards I get to join those doing proper training like Chickadee, Becky and Sally.

The whole point of the 8 weeks was to take a body that was struggling to run a mile, and even then needed 3 days rest to be ready to go again, to being able to cope with a 50 mile per week workload.

So the plan going forward starts at 50mpw building towards 75mpw ready for the marathon in April. First target though is a 45-46 min 10K in the Leeds Abbey Dash on Nov 23rd.

I did 3.03 miles (with a hill) in 34.39 minutes, not bad considering my best 5km time so far is 28.08. I know I can get that down in the future especially as I'm looking to do the 10km in Feb whereas the Race for Life is in the summer.

Hubbie did 5 miles today, I reckon I'll be up there pretty soon, he won't admit it but I think he's scared at my determination!

Good for you evab - one of my friends (who is male) refuses to run with me in case I'm better than him! Tee hee.

Thats a pretty good time for 3 miles!

a steady 5 miles for me and P tonight. Poor P was finding it tough going, though, so all credit to her for not taking the short cuts home when she had the chance!

It was a lovely evening, no wind, and lots of stars in the sky - beautiful!

Well done Hypno I don't know where you find all the energy after all your debt-busting. BTW weren't you going to take it easy for a while? :-)
