Has anyone been watching the series "unbreakable" ? OMG now that is scary and puts a little marathon into perspective

Certainly have Sally, makes the term endurance tests seem exceedingly mild. The guts they have is amazing!

No running for me tonight - I have to go straight from work to do some more work and won't be home until about 11pm, so a good opportunity for a rest day, which is much needed because although my legs feel fine, my shoulder/neck is in agony today........I had a car accident and suffered a bit of whiplash last summer, and it is obviously not as healed as I thought it was  So currently taking painkillers and rubbing in bio-freeze gel while I work out my next plan of action.

Good luck to all those putting in the miles today x

    Morning all.
    Did a 4.8mile run last night - 41:30.
Horrible weather. Also had been running in my glasses rather than contacts. Glasses just kept slipping down my nose in the wet and got a bit annoying, tried running without them but couldnt see a thing. LOL. This maybe added a minute or two to the time - any excuse.
    Have a good day all.

    Thats a decent effort, Hobsch.

Already up with last week's running mileage so you must be improving slowly but surely!

    Thanks ROD.
Yes, I really felt a bit low yesterday with things generally and really fancied doing a run. Was just going to do the one lap from my house but felt quite good so did 2. Felt so much better in myself afterwards too.

    Morning all!

Wow Hobsch your times are really fast!

Did my 4 mile fartlek this morning - was hard work after my 10 miler on Sunday - but at least I did it today...

Looking forward to my running week this week - and even better got another day off today - so when I go back in on Weds it will be only a 3 day week :)

Hope you enjoy your runs everyone!

I'm looking forward to Christmas as I'm gonna win £100 off my dh as we have challenge to see who can lose the closest to 2 stone by then. I think I have the easiest task as my weight is from pregnancy so a bit to go from thighs and belly, my goal is 10lb 10 which at 5ft 6ins is a good weight for me as I'm not naturally slim. Dh is 5ft 9 and all his weight is from his belly which isn't very big anyway but means he has to stop drinking! he runs all the time anyway so I don't think he has 2 stone to lose. Tonight I'm running to the pool (1 mile), doing a Pilates class, then running home!

I'm going to win, but wish me luck!
