Evening all, I went swimming with dd yesterday and have been for a little 2 miler this afternoon with a walk to nursery afterwards to pick up dd.

Wow there's some miles clocking up by the group! Excellent work everyone.

No running for me today only jaffa cakes and some hob nobs whoops!! Actually I have a sore muscle around my knee and I must have slept funny last night as my neck is so painful today.

Isn't it funny when you first run that you get so tired and sleep REALLY well, now it doesn't seem to have that effect..guess the body has adjusted

    1 Jaffa Cake = 0.5 miles
    1 Hob Nob = 0.8 miles

Get some apples and oranges eaten instead. :p

Be careful with the knee Sally - it will almost certainly strengthen itself up in a day or two, but I'd cancel a session without hesitation if a knee was feeling weak.

I should think the pain in the neck will go away soon enough - or just put me on your 'Ignore List' :rotfl:

Ooh, now there IS motivation - 3 miles = 6 jaffa cakes, without any weight being put on!

So if I did 3 miles but only ate 5 jaffa cakes when I get back, I will still lose weight as I am using more calories than I am taking in!

    RESULT!!!!!!

OMG that is some serious miles....(and I didn't include the banana bran muffin :o )

I have eaten apples and oranges too so not all bad!
Will see how the knee feels wednesday morning before I decide to run. I can always leave it to the evening or just miss the session if need be. Sure the neck will be fine in a couple of days like you said :p

I love these kind of equations!

My usual 30 mile week burns off 3,000 extra calories at my weight and height (I burn about 100 a mile)...which is good considering I ate a huge fried breakfast after my Sunday run!

So when you run a marathon all the training gives you 30 weeks of a 3000-4000 extra calories which is over 100,000 extra calories - how many jaffa cakes is that?

    :)

Sorry about the bad knee Sally!

Hypno did you get out in the end?

Evab - I started on little 2 milers as a fun thing...
