No it's not endorphins you can sense......it is blood sweat and tears you can smell :rotfl:

    Morning All,

Got my rest today and a ball this evening, but I've made a pact with myself not to drink too much since I have 10 miles in for tomorrow...

well done Pania and Hypno! Hope you both feel okay this morning...

    Have a good weekend everyone!

Surprisingly my legs don't feel as bad as I thought they would this morning. Hoping that this doesn't mean they will feel terrible tomorrow!

I have to take DS to karate later this morning, so will try and go for a brisk walk while he is there, rather than hang around for him. Hopefully that will keep the aches at a manageable level!

    becky - enjoy the ball!

Good luck to everyone with their weekend runs!

I did a long walk - 1 hour 15 mins at a reasonable pace, while DS was in his karate class. I will map it on getmapping to see how far it is, as it is a route I could probably run quite happily from time to time.

edited to say: 4.2 miles.......one to add to the list!

Good one hypno. Well my run was even better than I anticipated this morning - I took a wrong turn so it added at least 20 minutes to my run! It was a variation on on of the club runs, and I am usually with others. so not concentrating to hard on the route. I have been running consistantly in the last couple of weeks. Just hope I can maintain this when I get back to work and doing shifts again.

That sounds good Chris - I know what you mean about following the pack and not taking notice of where you are going.......have been caught out many a time like that in the past!

I need to work out how many weeks until the marathon - the training schedule I have is 18 weeks but I think there are a couple of extra weeks that we have in hand.......at least I hope it is that way round and we are not really supposed to be on week 3 :o

Pania and I decided to follow the realbuzz "intermediate" schedule - I was going to opt for the beginners one given that it is many years since I went running, but I think this week has shown us that we can do a little more than "jog 5 mins, walk 10 mins, jog 5 mins" so we have promoted ourselves :rotfl:

(we may, of course, live to regret it!!)

blimey - I have just worked it out, and we have 9 weeks BEFORE we need to start our 18 week schedule!

any ideas from you wise guys as to how we should do this - should we do the first 9 weeks twice? Should we do something completely random for 9 weeks then start the training schedule..........sort of like sitting lard like on the sofa eating chocolate and then doing the 18 week beginners run, or what

    HELP!!

Well done you two! I'm just back from a wander round local park/ woods - lots of very steep bits, mud, and a few bits where I'm not sure what possessed me but I decided to jump across the river using stepping stones - thankfully no falling in! :rotfl: Have done a rough measurement and it was about 3.5 miles, been out for almost two hours but I did have a sit down in the middle just to look at the view :)
