    Idio,

Rich made a good suggestion a while back about old socks...cant remember the specifics but I think you turn them into fingerless gloves and then roll them up to your arms when your hands get hot!

On this subject, has anyone got any good recommendations for some good running gloves?

My hands normally warm up after half a mile, but it's not nice feeling all chilly to start out...

Indeed, old socks with holes in the toes are ideal.

Just cut the ends off - pull them down and scrunched into your hands in the early stages and then as you warm up just roll them back to your wrists.

The best athletes all do this so don't think its a cheapskate method :p- its simply the best way to achieve the desired result!

Thanks for asking Sally - I work Monday to Sunday as a week, but so far this week:

    Mon13/10 7.0 mile Brisk Walk
    Tues14/10 10K 1:04:23 (Pulse 98)
    Weds15/10 10K 00:57:59 (Pulse 118)
    Thurs16/10 9.0 mile Brisk Walk
    Fri17/10 10K 00:57:06 (Pulse 118)

So going well so far, 35.5 miles with another 14.5 planned over the weekend, so 50 in total. Fastest 2 10Ks in last 3 days on normal pulses so happy with progress.

I was tired earlier in the week though.!
