Well done everyone for fab times in the races and good luck Kazl :T
I was up again at 5.45amand went for a 40 min run. It was actually more like a fell race as we ran up through fields which were swampy, I tripped on a stone and hurt my knee  but I'm alright - although had to say I haven't had a plaster on my knee for years
.
Did just under 4 miles, loads of hills and it was a gorgeous morning and a really nice start to the day.
At home now, DS has hospital appointment later so booked day off work - intending to do so MB and finish my ebay off - I WILL DO IT TODAY!!!!
Have a lovely day0 -

Hi, we did our longest on Sunday which was 6.91 miles - I managed 20 miles over the course of 5 runs last week as well.
The training plan we are following is saying tomorrow should be 7 mins relaxed and 3 x 7 at pace - how do we work that out - do we do 2 mins slow, 7 fast, 2 slow, 7 fast, 1 slow??0 -
Just remembered, I was tidying up DVDs and stuff last night and found I had the New York City Ballet workout on both DVD and video (bought the DVD a while back cos I couldn't find the video I had, but it's now surfaced!) - if anyone fancies the video, give me a shout and I'll stick it in the post to you - it's not worth me selling on eBay as there's quite a few copies on and I don't think anyone really buys videos anymore!
Anyway, the blurb is here http://www.amazon.co.uk/New-York-City-Ballet-Workout/dp/B00005AMF1 - it's a good ballet exercise/ pilates based workout, mainly strengthening exercises, with a bit of jumping about (which I've never really done as always lived in upstairs flats - on the ground floor now but still not got enough room for the more energetic bits)
So, yep, if anyone wants it let me know!Debt@16.12.09 £10,362.38, now debt free as of 29.02.2012."I cannot make my days longer so I strive to make them better."0 -
Hi BA
I didnt follow any written down training plan, but i was training with two guys who have done marathons etc, very experienced.
They built me up slowly from 2 miles, about 10min mile pace for 2 weeks, then 4 miles, same pace but for longer, then so on and so on. Once I got to 8 miles comfortably, we started to pick the pace up a bit to 9m mile, which hurt like hell. Then 3 - 4 weeks before the half ,we used to run 3 times a week. monday - 4-5 Miles, Wednesday 8-9 miles, Sat am or Sun am - 11-12miles. Did this regularly for 3 weeks at least.22/07/07 Debt - Tesco 17644 (6.1%) - Now 10500

Well I was planning to go to the gym at lunchtime but got sent home from work (they reckon our power could go if that dam in Rotherham bursts so they wanted to avoid chaos if everyone had to rush home at the same time.. no sign of anything happening so far though!)... decided to walk home, nipped in to dump my handbag etc, put my running stuff on and went straight back out for a half hour run.. just done googlemap thingy on the route and it was just over 2 1/2 miles.
Now I know I should do something useful with this unexpected afternoon off, but for some reason I decided to stock up on wine and strawberries on the way home (you know, essential things if there was a power cut).. and the sofa is sooo comfy....Debt@16.12.09 £10,362.38, now debt free as of 29.02.2012."I cannot make my days longer so I strive to make them better."0
