Yes, 4 miles non-stop. But ohhhhhh my god I could hardly walk to my car at the end!

I was really proud though, because this time last week, I struggled to run a mile and a half, then suddenly on Wednesday I ran 3 miles non-stop, then today 4.

Think I've peaked now though, I can't imagine EVER being able to run further than that!

    Brilliant progress.

You will run further, but not this coming week. Let everything recover and you will certainly go further.

Remember, you didn't imagine you'd EVER run 4 miles.

Mrs S - I have been running for over a year now, albeit a bit on and off and I have never yet run 4 miles without stopping!

Okay - I HAVE to get over that hurdle!

Just off to watch the GNR - is anyone from here running it.

Do you drive to your running place then?

That might solve one of my problems, self consciousness and worry of someone I know seeing me trying to run :o

Thank you, and that's very true. :)

My plan is to run again properly on Wednesday and Friday, but they will have to be shorter runs, because [strike]I'm lazy[/strike] by the time hubby is home from work, there is very little daylight left, and being half an hour from civilisation in the dark probably isn't a good idea. So will have to stick to a maximum of 3 miles on those two, and try 4 miles again on Sunday....does that sound okay?

I've shed a tear with the emotion of the GNR already, and that was only during the credits!!!

I quite often drive to my running places...we alternate runchum houses and other times we run down the canal and round the lanes so we drive to that. When we first started running we parked in the pub and then had half a lager afterwards....

As you feel really, but it takes 3 days for muscles to fully recover from a run and about 5 days to get the full training effect.

I know what you mean - funnily enough when you're in it it just feels like the build up to any other race. But the TV build ups can get the old emotional tingling built up!
