Me too Becky, the wind and rain is lashing at the windows and the thought of having to force myself out of bed in the morning :(

Hey onwards and upwards! Must go and plan a route

and for extra brownie points please coach... the weather was foul!! raining like boogery all the way to the place, and once i stepped out into the run it cleared up and was clear, once i got back in the car (1hr and 5 mins later! in case you missed that point!!) the rain started again, so that is good karma innit?

You've got major brownie points all round.

You certainly found a deep reservoir of motivation somewhere.

You are knocking on the door of the tipping point where progress starts to become obvious and you see some sort of improvement each week.

    Amazing effort - well done.

Gosh, just read 3 pages of post from this afternoon - it has been busy!

There was one or two questions, lets see now:

    1. The difference between Trainers and Running Shoes. Its all a bit mixed up really. In theory you have Training Running Shoes(which is what most people use for running) and Racing Running Shoes (which take about 1 minute off a 35min 10K time, but should only be used on very trained muscles). Everything else is leisure wear - but personally I would have no qualms about running in a pair of cheap 'trainers' - I just wouldn't expect them to last as long as Training Running Shoes.

    2. Fartlek - Should not be considered until into a proper training program and certainly not until 4+ mile runs are done as a matter of course. But the benefit of fartlek sessions is that they get muscles used to higher speed running, developing the anaerobic capacity and muscle endurance. They are included when training for specific time targets.

I'm going to have to go and have another look, I cant remember what else was asked.

    Nice cleaning work Becky!

Edit: Another question was 'Do I have to buy size 10?' Of course you do, and if your feet aren't big enough to fit them, you'll need a new pair of them as well! :p

You're right, you did get a bit merry last Saturday jinky, though what having a late night long walk last night's (try saying that fast in your current state!:p) got to do with it I don't know. We'd best look out then as HWGA will probably be here in the same state in a mo! I'm off.
