To be honest, i've yet to find an are that Rich is not a bit of an expert in!

Although we probably need someone more objective to give out running shoe advice than just "buy sorbothane insoles"

We could all do our own blogs... or we could have a section for mum's on the run!!

This website is gonna be ace!!

Mums on the run...now that would be a good club name if we were all mums!
I'll make a wish, take a chance, make a change And breakaway. I'll take a risk, take a chance, make a change and breakaway ....

I have used a personal trainer before, in return for book keeping.. I managed to lose quite a bit of weight doing that and I loved it, but it was for a purpose and once that purpose was up I stopped going thinking I could manage myself...I obviously can't.

I do already run with two girls after work so no worries there and the gym does have a spinning class, the problem with the gym is by the time I have got ready to go, done the class, got changed to come out and got back home two hours have gone by when I could literally put my trainers on and run for a good hour and come back and get ready for work... I am finding I need the gym less and less, but what I really need is the focus on the weight training/circuit type of stuff that I know will turn my fat into muscle and therefore make me lose weight.

I am totally unable to motivate myself - I often think I can't do something when I can, I can't push myself that extra mile...

And this trainer is fierce! I would not dare not do my homework...

  • Sounds ideal Sammy........

Jillian michaels is kinda scarey! i love the biggest loser!

i definately think it can help training/running with someone else, me n runchum rachel do spur one another on, and it is usually one of us can't be asssed the other does the motivating and vice versa.....

that said, some of my best runs have been when i've gone and done it myself, like last monday... it was all the more of an achievement cause i did it alone...
