Ok so have been out this morning and you know what as enthusiastic as I was it was REALLY hard work. Now I would have said this was down to fitness lost (not according to Rich) so I must still be recovering or just not in the right state of mind (no comments please
)
Think I went off a bit quick ever to prove to myself that I can run faster than plod, legs were absolutely fine but breathing/chest was hard/tight so much to me always continuing (just to prove a point) I decided enough was enough at mile 3.5 and went into a fast walk the remainder of the 5 miles. I would normally have started running again but did listen to coach and continued the walk and took in the nice scenery and gorgeous day out there.
Anyway just had a look at my Nike + (which never seems to be right grrr going to get a garmin when I can afford) and actually I did the 3.5 miles in 34 mins and total 5 miles in 58.23 so not too bad. Although I did my 5k RFL in 28 mins so maybe not
Advice Coach?? Oh and :kisses: thank you so much for my training plan. I will do a seperate post with all my questions
Good that you went out Sally. You must come back at your own pace though. You can return quicker than you think but dont try it all at once. Do not compare your times with past achievements. They are good pics!.... you look focused and really in the zone!
glad you took it easy on the end of the run, you shouldn't mess about where illness is concerned....
I'm pretty sure what you did was my advice also... i think i might apply for the coach position too!!!
oh but i'm an advocate of run/walk for beginners so maybe not! lol!
Hey Maz
Yes I found them yesterday when I searched under what I looked like (black shorts, female, black t-shirt etc) and found me! Added them to my name so now I can go in and see them. Did you also see the dodgy video of me crossing the finish line!
Thanks for your advice coach Maz! I think you would be great 2nd in command for coach position.I'll make a wish, take a chance, make a change And breakaway. I'll take a risk, take a chance, make a change and breakaway ....

I can write...a bit.....and I'm not bad at researching, so can volunteer to do any articles or webby stuff that aren't Rich's area maybe?
Edit - Wow, that's vague, isn't it! Talk about not wanting to commit yourself! :rotfl:"I wasn't wrong, I just wasn't right enough.":smileyhea97800072589250 -

To be honest, i've yet to find an are that Rich is not a bit of an expert in!
Although we probably need someone more objective to give out running shoe advice than just "buy sorbothane insoles"
We could all do our own blogs... or we could have a section for mum's on the run!!
This website is gonna be ace!!I'm just a seething mass of contradictions....(it's part of my charm!)0 -
