Yay :j well done P for doing your run :T bet you feel fab now:j

My motivation not to work today has been brilliant :rotfl: I have scrubbed a 3 wheeler pram and put it on ebay with two stair gates, cleaned the house from top to bottom and made £46 on Match Betting :D

Rather depressingly added up our last weeks spends and we have gone majorly over budget  this is due to parties, birthdays, DH going to the garden centre  and me entering races

I am consoling myself with the fact however that I have spent less than I would have done 6 weeks ago and I will stay in for the rest of the month (apart from running of course :D )

I'm in the mood for smileys tonight - obviously!

Hi all glad everyone is doing well, unfortunately I've not been feeling 100% for a few days so no runs but hopefully will be back out tomorrow then rest before Sundays' race.

Then training for 1/2 marathon in October starts and will keep motivated by finding some other race in the mean-time.

    Ev x

    Evening all!

Just got back and this evening I have discovered the joys of jogging while listening to the i-pod. I was out for 25 mins and hip was pain-free today so an extra days rest seems to have done the trick. I must have looked a right state though - humming along to Hard Fi on the i-pod while at the same time timing my walk/run minutes on my (7 year old sons) stopwatch, lol!! On the plus side i was back home before i knew it! Will check back in at the weekend - keep up the good work everyone! :T

Hey BA! Have smileyed you!!! (bit pointless but made me smile while doing it sorry)

EVAB, sorry to hear you been poorly honey, take it easy tomorrow and stop if you feel bad, don't want to damage your health or motivation.

Run was lovely tonight, had an awful headace through so long in car today (196 miles) but run completely alieviated it, just had a plod more than a run but made me feel good. Off for a relaxing b b in a mo just to top it off!

Congratulations to all you superb athletes on your running feats. I'm going to bow out of the DFW Running Club as I'm not at your level, and proving a bit flakey to boot.

I do aim to carry on running, and I'm really grateful to Pania and all of you for the encouragement and tips I've got from this thread. If I ever get more serious about it I'll be back.

For now, since tonight is the solstice, I plan to get up and see the sunrise (4.43 am here apparently  ) So I'll get up at 4.30 and run to the top of the common nearby where I should get a good view, weather permitting. The run back home is all downhill so it should be a rewarding experience all round.

OK think of a competition time folks... For those that don't have a stop watch/running watch. I have a runners world one that i don't use (hate wearing watches no other reason) measures lap time and running time, stop watch and lots of other nifty functions i ain't worked out. I would happily send it to someone FOC. But it has to be deserved.
    so ideas please
    1) craziest race photo
    2) Most runs in a week
    3) Most motivated person on the thread.
    4) I'm all outta ideas so any others please?

What do you think? or is this a really bad idea?

    Don't go Sea icon9.gif

You don't have to be training for anything to post here - just getting out and doing it is qualification enough - and if you are getting up at 4.30am   then you have an honorary position here :D

Please stay and post when you have had a run, want one, don't want one, please.................
