The area in affected female legs where the calf meets the foot in an abrupt, nontapering terminus; medical cause: adipose tissue surrounding the soleus tendon, probably congenital, worsened by weight gain and improved in appearance only by boots. From the English "calf" meaning wide portion of the lower leg, and "ankle" meaning slender joint of leg with foot.
So its fat storage, nothing to do with the size of calf muscles. The answer looks like running and kinky boots!
2 of my favourite things! :jI'm just a seething mass of contradictions....(it's part of my charm!)0 -

I read a load of stuff the other day about calf muscles and cankles, after a sudden panic that mine would turn monstrously large with all the running - general opinion seems to be that a mixture of exercise (running/ walking plus stretches) and a variety of heel heights are the best things for a 'nice' shape.
You boys can wear a variety of heel heights too if you likeDebt@16.12.09 £10,362.38, now debt free as of 29.02.2012."I cannot make my days longer so I strive to make them better."0 -
Okay I have boots and am addicted to running... but I do so love my sexy London flats if only the actually looked nice with a skirt on me ah well you cant have everything, its getting towards boots time anyway...
Does anyone else get weird bruises on their legs from running or is it just me? (I do bruise easily as the song goes)

I think we boys should sit on the sidelines for this one offering advice on optimal heel height from a male perspective!

Are you sure the bruises are not from footie or from bumping into stuff? It's not normal to get bruises on your legs just from running.
