Treasurer????? Thanks Sally...
Actually fine by me if it goes that way. I'm sure it'll combine well with cheerleading...26.2.19/14.1.19: T MC 3629.26/3629.26 : VM 0% 1050/13876.59 : W 0% 100/1485 = 4409.26/18990.85 =25.17%28.1.19/28.1.19 Hubs 0% £400/£2,977 =13.44%SPC 2019 #073

Well they are not all at once which is good, the worst are the four to get onto the road where my office is as the are huge in height (is that tread?) and the road is a hill...not amusing at the end of a fast run day!
I do actually have very solid calf muscles already...I'm trying to slim them down so maybe steps is a bad idea :rotfl:
I think my session finish would coincide with the bottom of those 4 steps.
But you're just TUFF!
Trying to slim calf muscles? Now you're winding me up!Gt NW 1/2 Marathon 21/2/2010 (Target=1:22:59) (6:20/mile) 1:22:47 (6:19):j:j

an rpost is a typo.... should read post! (see typo disclaimer in siggy!)
Surely we will all have great calves... i know mine are fabulous personally!!! and that's without extra stair work....
i once knew a woman who was really slim, great figure, but she had really thick ankles... she called them "cankles" as she had straight up and down calves and ankles..... maybe she should have done stair work....?I'm just a seething mass of contradictions....(it's part of my charm!)0 -

If I dont do the steps and hill its not quite 3 or 4 miles (depending on route)...its important to me to not cheat on the distance...not sure why I'm just stuborn I guess.
Nope as Maz says - cankles! Seriously bad and very unflattering - mine are massively out of proportion to the rest of me so I'm trying to slim them down (which running has been good for actually) - but I fear its mostly genetic0 -
Is it the muscle mass you are trying to reduce, Becky? I'm afraid running generally is not going to help achieve that!Running Club targets 20105KM - 21:00 21:55 (59.19%)10KM - 44:00 --:-- (0%)Half-Marathon - 1:45:00 HIT! 1:43:08 (57.84%)Marathon - 3:45:00 --:-- (0%)0

big calves are not the same as cankles becks.........
cankles are bad... big calves are good!
nothing that woman could do to slim her ankles....

I thought it was a 'made up' word, clearly not:
Cankles 605 up, 79 down
The area in affected female legs where the calf meets the foot in an abrupt, nontapering terminus; medical cause: adipose tissue surrounding the soleus tendon, probably congenital, worsened by weight gain and improved in appearance only by boots. From the English "calf" meaning wide portion of the lower leg, and "ankle" meaning slender joint of leg with foot.
So its fat storage, nothing to do with the size of calf muscles. The answer looks like running and kinky boots!Gt NW 1/2 Marathon 21/2/2010 (Target=1:22:59) (6:20/mile) 1:22:47 (6:19):j:j
