  • Morning P - glad to see you don't have a hangover :)

Was up and out at 8 this morning, everyone else was asleep and I was awake so thought perfect timing to slip out. Did 4 miles with just me and my ipod - found it a bit tiring but this was my 3rd morning run on the trot. I am supposed to be doing a long run tomorrow (60 mins  ) but I will see how I feel in the morning.

Off to the post office now, have just wrapped up a hobby horse I sold last night and it looks a very odd package

Today I just plan to do ebay stuff, DH taking DS to a spiderman party so I will be using the time usefully aka reading MSE :T

    Have a good day everyone

Hi pania and other fitness-type people

I love this thread! Mind if I join in (mid-week - need to get one more thing out of the way first)?

Thing is, I'm not a runner (tried it, done the Race for Life, don't like it). But I do need to get back to my previous level of fitness. So far this year's been jam-packed and I've had to freeze my gym membership (very MSE) because I couldn't get down there. (Oh, and don't shout too loudly - safety first, hence the gym. I've also got a medical condition which requires exercise so the lack of it lately is having an impact on my health. Boo!)

Anyway, as of mid-week, I'm planning on:
    • getting back to dance classes
    • sorting out a proper weight training programme (I have weights at home but have been a bit lax)

    My goals then:
    1. Two dance classes a week (to start)
    2. 4x weight training (at home to start - back to the gym in August)

    Here we go!
 What if the hokey cokey is what it's all about?

hey BA good for you. No leaping styles gazelle like though i notice!! have managed to get on the net at the launch so sneakily MSE-ing pretending it's work te he. Maybe you need a day off before the long run? Maybe do it monday morning instead, give those batteries time to recharge.
No hangover, head felt suprisingly good this morning but was drinking rose and fell asleep prior to the end of the bottle. Sorry for the garbled PM!!

Hey minnie spender, more than happy to have you on board!! Sorry to hear about your health problem, but you've certainly taken a good step towards getting fit again by setting yourself some goals. We have a bit of light hearted banter on her to keep us motivated at the same time as reporting on our successes (or failures in my case!) to meet our fitness goals. Dance classes sound great fun, what kind of dance do you do?
Oh and please excuse the smutty page, just skim over that when you read the thread, think midweek fever hit us all!!! he he.
So let us know when you want to get started and once again welcome on board!!!

Blackangel - I tend to agree with Pania.

Take tommorow off you deserve it. Have your long run on Monday.

Pania - What failures? Dont run yourself down - rule number 1

Minnie - Good to have you on board. Great Goals

I do my work over the phone Pania. If there are goals you really want to achieve and need support fulfilling them then a life coach may be an option for you.

PM me if you want any further info

Yay.. I got back out there! :j Did a fairly steady 2 and a bit miles this morning, forgot to look at time when I set off but I think it took just under half an hour, mostly jogging.. don't feel too bad considering I haven't done anything for a couple of weeks. All showered and chilled out on the sofa with the laptop now :)
