Go for it Beer Tins.. a few people have expressed the opinion that I'm mad for planning to do a marathon (I think their thinking is that it's a thing for super-fit lifelong athletic type people of which I am not the perfect example) but if god knows how many thousand other people do it every year, then why shouldn't we?
That's the spirit! I'm sure even if my training doesn't go as well as I hoped, I'll still be well ahead of the curve timewise, if my 10k is anything to go by.Running Club targets 20105KM - 21:00 21:55 (59.19%)10KM - 44:00 --:-- (0%)Half-Marathon - 1:45:00 HIT! 1:43:08 (57.84%)Marathon - 3:45:00 --:-- (0%)0 -

Organised or not, you've run 10k and well above that. It's in your reach if you want it.Running Club targets 20105KM - 21:00 21:55 (59.19%)10KM - 44:00 --:-- (0%)Half-Marathon - 1:45:00 HIT! 1:43:08 (57.84%)Marathon - 3:45:00 --:-- (0%)0 -

I'm not going to encourage you though - I'll get blamed if it hurts!Gt NW 1/2 Marathon 21/2/2010 (Target=1:22:59) (6:20/mile) 1:22:47 (6:19):j:j

I'm attempting to apply that theory to various things in life.. for some reason 26 miles of physical effort is less scary than stuff that involves any sort of confidence though. Sorry that's not really relevant, except that the running/ walking makes me feel like I can achieve something when I'm disappointed with other parts of life.
