Hi all, no run for me again as weather really bad think I will be blown about a bit so that's cheating! DH has promised to kick me out tomorrow.
Enjoying sharing a bottle of wine that one of my students gave me today as she finished her qualification. Mmmmm tastes better when it's free.
I can't believe it's just over a week till Leeds, omg!
Sorry to start talk about size again - I think that clothes shops should make new sizes up as I've been a size 13 for years!! :-)

Hi there can I join in too? Have recently started running (when I say running what i mean is fast walking/slow jogging!
) with the intention of running in events later on in the year.
As a newcomer to this I understand I need to build up gradually - however, when out last night I developed pains in my shins (shin splits). I am going to try more stretching exercises than I have been doing and will also check my trainers - does anyone have any more tips on how to prevent this?
Would it be easier if i was to run on grass for example?
Any advice much appreciated.0
