Thanks for all the good luck messages. Well I did it :j
I took 43 minutes to do 5km. I ran all of it apart from the bits where it was too crowded to run and the steep uphill bits. I really enjoyed it and am so pleased I set myself the challenge of being able to run some of it.:D

When I started the training plan 6 weeks ago it nearly killed me running for just a couple of minutes. I am feeling very pleased with myself. My legs ache a little bit today but not too bad. The worst bit was the heat - about 25 degrees!

    I've raised £200 sponsorship as well :j

They are fine. Ached a bit first thing but back to normal now. Feel very tired though because I was too hyped up to sleep last night

Well done kazl, great going and fantastic sponsorship money raised!

FMOW - wow you're certainly putting in the training before Leeds, Im going to do 4 miles till the weekend then do a 6 miler either Saturday or Sunday.

I'm aching now! Shattered also, had to be up early for work today - I don't do mornings. I am feeling fit and healthy, had some comments at work yesterday that I was looking well (I've lost 2 stone since i started working there - pregnancy weight). I still can't get under the elusive 11st mark, still I'm sure that training for the 1/2 marathon in October will get me there.

See you tomorrow - really am going this time!

cool - the benifits to your health, fitness and wellbeing are worth way more than the £10 fee!

Thanks :o I can feel my legs starting to ache though, think they are going to be like lead tommorow!

Well done on the weight loss - and i admire you for making the time to run with a baby to look after and work aswell!
  • well done kazl, now you can set yourself a half marathon target!

Went to the running club last night, out for about an hour, 6-7 miles I think, was with a group of about 20 runners at 9m mile pace so felt ok and they try to avoid the hills!!
