  • We covered a 3 mile route, 5 mins walk, 5 mins run, 3 mins walk, 20 mins run, 3 mins walk, 5 mins run, walk to finish.......

3 miles is a lot for me! so very pleased.

The trainer ran with us at the tail end of the group, plus another woman i knew was in that group so she kept me company while the trainer talked the hind legs off my runchum!! I got a bit of the spiel at one point but actually i found i was coping quite well and enjoyed it a lot....

First 10 mins were raggy, as ever but settled into it.

No toilet breaks required....! (thanks for the reassurance that it isn't just me and Paula Radcliffe Sal! it's you, me and Paula Radcliffe!!)

It was a hilly course, so as well as upping the distance it had considerably more hills than our normal runs...........

    I am sooooooo chuffed!
I'm just a seething mass of contradictions....

    Hi All,

Just popping my head in (its out from the shell briefly)...

Yes compeed is amazing - put on dry skin and they stay on for days (even with my crazy mad 2 runs a day) usually until the blister is fully healed...

    Good luck tomorrow!

    Thank you.......

......but running is a bit like dieting for me - I do it for a few days then find that it is easier not to bother. So I have to stick with it!! I am hoping that if I can get up to a half hour run without stopping in the next couple of weeks I will be suitable convinced that I have "taken up running" properly :o

Coming on here and planning beforehand and then posting your efforts afterwards is a great motivator..... plus you do have the ultimate motivation in your father.... Stick with us, together we will all be running like the wind!!!!!!!

There seems to be a screen full of glowing pride tonight - everybody's at it! Fantastic.

I take it you're sticking it with it Maz?

Were they a good bunch then? Its unusual to find anything else amongst runners tbh.

    And what was the 'spiel'?

  • Sally - I came up with the same for 'rtw'. How spooky - I bet we're miles off though.

Becky - So what is compeed? Some form of cushioning I assume?
