HI everyone, I'm back (well nearly)

I'm feeling really well so am going to start running again from next Monday, I'm only going to start really slowly for a few weeks and try to do a bit of ab work to hopefully start getting back my flat stomach (what's one of them I hear myself saying!)

I'm going to also do a Pilates class once a week which will give me some 'me' time as well as exercise.

I'm not going to post any measurements as far too embarrassing but weight is currently 13 stones 2 lbs  so want to lose at least 1 1/2 stone but am focussed for the long term, 9 months of work to make up for 9 months of nothing.

Keep up the good work everyone, Ev

sooo Jelous that you have got the Nike + kit. I have decided that its what im going to get but don't have any spare cash at the moment. Could really do with it before the bristol half in a couple of weeks but hey!

Evab well done for getting back into it...flat stomach, whats one of those?? I have kind of given up on getting one of those and realisation that the baby flab will remain until I die (unless I get a tummy tuck!)
I'll make a wish, take a chance, make a change And breakaway. I'll take a risk, take a chance, make a change and breakaway ....

I managed to get a good deal with the Nike + as someone had been given it as a gift from their gym for recommending people and they had one all ready so sold it to me through ebay nice and brand new still sealed up! I caliberated it completely wrong though so need to get that sorted out and want to get it going before the Chippenham half and then I will be listing my Garmin on ebay as cannot justify keeping it. The Garmin has good points and bad, just like the Nike + but need to sell the Garmin! Hopefully it will go to someone that will get better use out of it really! :o

Bristol Half is the same day as the Chippenham Half, Sunday 14th September...will find a website for you!

Did 6km on Saturday and 11km on Monday. Badminton yesterday and footie tomorrow, so two more runs on Thursday and Friday. Then I have Saturday off before the Nike 10k on Sunday.

I'm using the Nike+ SportBand and I like it, but the display is starting to go a bit on it. Guess rain and sweat isn't too good for it! Averaged 5'06" on my long run which works out at 51 mins for the 10K, but I'd Love to get in under 50 minutes if I can. Hoping adrenaline will help me!

Hope your running's going well everyone.

managed to pin runchum down to a run tonight and we went out, we probably only covered about a mile and a bit, but it was all running, so felt really positive as we haven't run much at all, (her even less so) although we have done other exercise so i guess the fitness levels have been maintained a little..

    swimming lessons start tomorrow!!!!!!!!
