Right madam!See, looking back you are doing massively better. Honestly go to that website and start recording what you've done, how you've felt, it's very motivating reading back.
Re -earphones - either wear a hat or you can get some cheap ones that are designed for running and clip over your ears. Or......put some sellotape round your head :rotfl:Long haulers supporters DFW #109NR Loan #1 - £2951.18 Nov 08/0 -
Morning all, well I still feel knackered but all the aches and pains seem to have gone!
JB - a mixture of goosebumps and disbelief really! It seemed like such a long night at the time and now it seems to have passed really quickly, and I can't quite believe we did it.
Sally - I would definitely do it again, no doubt! However my friend who did it with me, surprised me by saying that she wanted to take up running (she's always said she hates it), so we're going to aim for our big fundraising event for next year to be running a marathon, probably Edinburgh. I was planning to do this anyway it's good to have some extra motivation. We live in different cities though so won't be training together.
I can't wait to get running again - but I think I might just have a few more days off....Debt@16.12.09 £10,362.38, now debt free as of 29.02.2012."I cannot make my days longer so I strive to make them better."0 -

:rotfl:If you do that we want photos!
It is hard when you get used to training with someone else, to then be on your own. Just think of us lot waiting to hear your reports back, and nagging you if you don't go!Debt@16.12.09 £10,362.38, now debt free as of 29.02.2012."I cannot make my days longer so I strive to make them better."0 -

I can relate to that!!! but i love the elation of reporting back to the thread about how i've got on.
Clippy over back of head headphones from poundland IA. we got some for Erin's MP3 player.
EDIT: IA, be careful if running on roads though, Better with single earplugs type as then you can have one plugged in and another listening for traffic.I'm just a seething mass of contradictions....(it's part of my charm!)0 -
Well, I've just entered the Nike 10k ("human race") which is on 31/08/08. That should give me something to aim for! I went for phase 3 (of 4) which I estimate to be the group "running all the way, but not breaking any records anytime soon". Anyone else entering?Running Club targets 20105KM - 21:00 21:55 (59.19%)10KM - 44:00 --:-- (0%)Half-Marathon - 1:45:00 HIT! 1:43:08 (57.84%)Marathon - 3:45:00 --:-- (0%)0

No, I'm doing the London one, much as I'd like to run one of the other locations! Wouldn't be very MSE though, would it?!

indeed!
10k non stop, is impressive to me.
I'm training hard to get up to 5k with minimal walk breaks... so here's hoping.
Did a 10k in 2005, but a few walk breaks, altho in my defence officer, it was a tough course!
Maybe next year!I'm just a seething mass of contradictions....(it's part of my charm!)0
