Nice shoes IA! I do love my New Balance ones too, let me know if you get hot burny feet with them though. They have a felt inside which seems to give me hot soles, not sweaty feet but burny hot....

small price to pay and better than having sore ankles which my others gave me.

Just wanted to say thanks to you all for the support and advice over the last few months, especially in my headless chicken state this week. Heading up north this afternoon - 37 hours to go till the big walk (not that I'm counting or anything)!!

I'll try to pop on to say I've survived, have got internet on my phone but always find MSE really slow to load up. Can get onto Facebook ok so those of you who 'know' me on there can expect a "Squirrel is collapsed in a heap" status on Sunday morning! :rotfl:

    Have a good weekend x

ps where are Cnoelj and SW? Hope all is well with you guys!

Hi all, had to post to say have been out tonight!!!

My runchum called off, still exhausted from her honeymoon, poor thing! ;)

So i did the decent thing and went out again on my own, well with Erin and her bike.

Ran 5, walked til recovered maybe 90secs? x 3 then on the way back managed to run 10 mins without stopping!!!!

Yay me!!!!! reckon i covered maybe 3/4 of a mile, which i know isn't much really and is so so slow! but it's all about time just now for me to try and get back to where i was 2/3 weeks ago, i.e running for 10.

so feeling pleased, and having a rewarding shower in a bit, and trying to avoid eating anything before bed!!

Well Done Maz, its so easy to get out of the routine and then to think stuff it. You will be amazed how quickly you can build up your distance again.

There is no way 2 months ago (thats when I really started running) I would have thought I could run 10k. I could barely make 8 mins and found the 10 min run would kill me. 2 months on I run 3 times a week for around an hour each run...amazing how the body adapts!

Had some texts from Redquirrel in the night. Progress reports from The Moonwalk in Edinburgh.
she managed it all in about 8 and a half hours, very cold, not raining though. Great fun emotional night.

    WELL DONE OUR GIRL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
