I find myself wishing I'd signed up for the half marathon in Sept rather than another 10k... yep i'm definitely a [STRIKE]little[/STRIKE] lot crazy!

Well done Sally on getting up so early!! Maz, did you get out for a run?

I did about six miles on the way home from work yesterday, absolutely boilingly stupidly hot. For the rest of the week will just be doing a gentle stroll to and from work with the odd bus journey thrown in. Need to get all my stuff packed for the walk - keep thinking I'll forget something vital! :o

Aargh. Can someone come round and do some deep breathing exercises with me? Been all calm, slightly excited and looking forward to the weekend but for some reason I'm incredibly nervous right now!! I blame finally getting my copy of the walkers booklet this evening - first time I've seen the route (although I knew roughly what it was), preparations, instructions etc. It seems a bit pathetic when I'm not even running! Eek. Aargh. Waah :o

You'll be fine! You've put all the work in to prepare properly. You've just got stage fright - just think how great you'll feel on Sunday after you've rested and how impressed your friends and family will be.

    Big hugs :grouphug:

Thanks Lucifa, I feel a lot better about it today. Sure I'll be fine once I'm on the train up there on Friday!

  • Hey you

DEEP BREATHS - you will be absolutely fine! This is just last minute nerves, I was an absolute wreck the week before the Marathon but just think of all the hard work you have put in, we are all so proud of you and you will be absolutely fine.

Just make sure you have water and I can highly recommend Compeed anti-blister stick and some compeed plasters on areas where you think you might rub. Drink plenty the day and night before, lots of pasta for energy and smile, smile, smile!

Good luck honey, thinking of you. :T

Had another run yesterday followed by good gym session - just beginning to wonder when I'll start to see the effects...

    Good luck Red!
Haven't done any other running this week yet. Had such a busy day yesterday didn't get chance, but am hoping to go tonight as the weather is much better for it (ie raining. lol).
