Funny how your most creative thinking is often performed whilst running.

That is one reason why I like running by myself. I am lucky that I am able to run by myself as well as with others

Definitely! Although I found when out walking with my mate on Monday we managed to sort out all our holiday plans and various other things - it's great for working things out, I might suggest that we have 'walking' team meetings at work! :rotfl:

I think it is precisely for that reason why Board Meetings are held on golf courses :rotfl:

Hi all, sorry i haven't been reporting in, haven't done much lately.... Glad you missed me Sal!

Was out on thursday last week, that was my run10/walk2 x 3... which was okay, considering some unknown hill-age (normal route backwards, so true what you say Lucifa!)

Then my runchum couldn't manage on the weekend on account of her getting married on the sunday, too much to do understandably! Now she is gone for 2 weeks, and i need to get my finger out and at least maintain the run10/walk2 before she comes back. She will be able to pick it up as we were, as she's slim and naturally more fit than i'll ever hope to be.

Anyhow i went out myself eventually on tuesday night, quite late. It was hit and miss really. I probably only managed 8 mins running in the largest section, but it was hard going as my tummy felt really dodgy....... I think i hadn't had enough time since dinner.

    TMI ALERT!!
when i got home i had to rush to the loo...

Does anyone else get like that?

Hi Maz. Good on ya for getting out without the runchum:T - sorry it ended badly though;)

I do have the odd run where if I haven't gone properly and I really push it I'm in danger of ...erm... leaking shall we say.

I always try and run BEFORE I eat (not just because if I do Hubbles volunteers to cook...) so not ever had to wrry about that tho.

I'm well pleased with myself today - I managed a second early morning run in a row :j

It is always better to go out and do a bit rather than do nothing so well done. Obviously dont push it if you are not feeling a hundred percent. I always try and leave it about 2 hours after eating before going out.

Thanks guys! I'm going to go out tonight again early as opposed to in dark of night. Minus ipod this time, so i can run on the road, and not get killed, and also cause i think the ipod pushes my pace up, which i'm not fit for.

I'm also going to run one of the routes i've done before as psychologically i know how far i've gotten before on these routes, so i can aim times to suit distance.

This won't be an exact science as runchum has taken communal watch to the med, and i haven't got my ironman from M&M sports yet.

Mind you, 10 minutes is easy on a conventional watch!!

Didn't do anything exercise wise over the weekend. Today though I ran to the gym to meet Hubbles and then did a weights session.:T

    I might hurt a little tomorrow:rolleyes:

    How's everyone else getting on?

Hiya.. didn't do much over weekend, couple of shortish walks - keeping up the walking to and from work and will do a bit of a longer one at the weekend. 12 days to go!

Actually feel relatively well prepared, the only last minute rush will be getting the bloomin' decorated bras done the night before as they're at my mates' house!!!

ps can't remember who it was on here who recommended sitting on a pilates ball for balance - got one last weekend and am spending most of my time in front of computer balancing on it. It keeps rolling off across the room by itself though, it's like being in The Prisoner :rotfl:
