I don't have a pilates ball but Hubbles won an adult size space hopper at a work do recently (don't ask!) which might do instead:rolleyes:

Cool :D I did find a ball exercise (ahem) on the net called 'bouncing' which is basically sitting on it and er, bouncing!

I can imagine the look Hubbles would give me if I was sitting at the PC typing and bouncing. He already thinks I'm a bit odd...

    Evening
I managed to persuade runchum (1st time that we have run together actually) to come out with me on Sunday morning. So 5 miles later I felt fine...she on the other hand was nearly dead on her feet :) I did make me realise that I am much fitter than I thought. So tomorrow morning going to push myself a bit further and do 6 miles. Will let you know how I get on in the morning...

I've been so slack...went on Wednesday morning 6 miles but haven't been since (I did aerobics Tuesday night and Thursday the muscles decided enough was enough and today is the first day I can walk down the stairs without being in agony!)
So tomorrow morning I aim to do another 6 miles. Hows everyone else getting on?

Hi everyone. Haven't been on here in a while as Runchum has an injured ankle and haven't had the motivation to go out on my own, so thought I'd avoid the thread and the verbal whipping I'd recieve. :rotfl: BUT tonight I'm back. Forced myself to go out for a run tonight. Because of runchum's ankle I've not been running for a good 2 weeks and was worried that I'd end up having to start from scratch. Seeing as the RFL is a month away (exactly a month tomorrow ) I forced myself to go out road running tonight round our village. I did 1.2m.... ALL running without stopping once!!!! I'm caked in sweat and thought I was going to hyperventilate when I got in but I did it and I'm SO happy with myself considering it's the first time I've run properly in about 2 weeks, and before could manage about 1/2 mile without walking. :D SO happy. Took me 15 mins so the 45min target for the RFL is still within sights... Really, really pleased with myself. Now where's that takeaway pizza with the tomato sauce stuffed in the crust...I need to replace some calories! :rotfl:

Well done IA, that's brilliant progress! :T

I'm just gearing up for the Moonwalk now, was planning to do 5-6 miles today but it was really warm, probably did about 3-4 just wandering about. Will keep up the walking to and from work for the rest of the week and then Saturday is the big night! To be honest, I felt like I was really ready for it this weekend and am quite frustrated to have to wait another week!!

Hope everyone else is doing well :)

    Well done IA!

I haven't been out for ages.......... might venture out late tonight and try to do run 5 walk 2, just so i can say have done something.

runchum is back from honeymoon tomorrow and RFL here is in 2 weeks!!!

i am so naughty not having done much running while she's been gone! She's gonna kill me!!!!!! In my defence i have been cycling, and lotsa walking.

You've inspired me IA, and i'm going out tonight!!!!!!!! If i put my running kit on now, then i will go out the door later., whereas I WAIT TIL LATER TO GO OUT, BUT HAVEN'T GOT MY KIT ON THEN I KNOW I WILL BOTTLE IT!

Scuse caps lock, did it by accident, but sums up my annoyance with myself!!
I'm just a seething mass of contradictions....
