Congrats on the shoes SW and good luck for Sunday!

This weekend I'm doing my last big practise walk before the Moonwalk, well probably on Monday - 20 miles  Typically it's forecast to rain so that should be fun  My sore back has been playing up a little bit this week so being very cautious with that - slept on the floor the other night which seemed to help!! :rotfl:

Hmm, been a bit lazy this week. Putting it down to post-race blues.

Off to check out a running track this afternoon and then off to the park with Hubbles to kick a rugby ball around. It is a lovely afternoon - hope its as warm out there as it looks!

Did my 20 mile practice walk for the Moonwalk today! Sore feet by the time I got home but not too tired surprisingly... slightly scared at the thought of doing another 6 miles on top of that but sure it'll be fine on the night.

Can't feel anything at the moment as we've had a few bottles of wine.. :o :rotfl:

Well done Red, im sure those extra 6 miles will be fine...just keep focusing on the finish line!
Went out yesterday in the pouring rain and did 5 miles. Need to find another route though as I get bored running the same route over and over. Am also thinking about doing the Bristol Half marathon ! Yes I might be mad, but will need something to work to after the 5k in July and maybe a 10k august.

Well done Red, you'll be fine, if you can do 20, adrenalin will get you through 26

My half went well on Sunday, weather was kind, despite the forecast and managed 1:54:17 so knocked 2.5 minutes off last year. Was heading for 1:52 but at Mile 10, it really hit me and I was knackered, picked it up again near the end though

Have you tried your normal loop in reverse? I reversed a couple of my routes and found up-hills in places I thought were flat! :rotfl:

Well Done SW. You have inspired me. I am doing the Southend Half on 8 June. I am looking to do a similar sort of time. I did the same event in 2hours and 30 seconds last year, entering at the last minute with no specific training for it and with a recent marathon behind me looking for between 1:50-1:55. They have changed the course this year and I believe it is an easier one. We will see!

I agree with the others Red - you appear to be bang on target! Well Done!
