I thought you were talking about david tenent for a minute there JB, my heart skipped a beat!

Glad the knee is feeling better, go easy hun.

And yes, chris, little else is more important than football, not Champions league for me though, SPL deciders tomorrow night, i'm excited already!

Edit - nice shoes Lucifa! what colour?!

Also ouch at running in nike shox!! look like they would be uncomfortable to me. but they are runners so how bad can they be?
I'm just a seething mass of contradictions....

Thanks for that. I am usually in the club bar after a run. Only Real Ale for me though. Pasturised, sterilised, chemical added keg beer must be bad for everyone, let alone runners. :D

    Dont get me started :D

    White/silver/yellow- didn't know there was a choice!

GUy who fitted me said Shox okay for short runs that supplement a gym workout (i.e. most treadmills) but not for (attempting) serious mileage

All aches and pains utterly gone even after a night off last night so I'll beout again tonight after a photo op at the Hospice we raised money for (about £600 I think)

Lucifa those trainers look fab! Have decided as soon as I get paid this month and done the budget that I am going to go and buy some new trainers.
managed to run 5 miles this morning :) but my ankle and knee were starting to give me a bit of jip (along with the blister) by the end so definately needed! Pleased though that I did it in 51.03 so looking now to get a good time for my 5k in July..actually I think I might aim for 25 mins? Is that realistic?
I'll make a wish, take a chance, make a change And breakaway. I'll take a risk, take a chance, make a change and breakaway ....

Maybe try a 3k run at race pace and see how you feel?

If you're doing 5 mile training runs you know you can easy finish the distance so maybe you need to start testing your speed?

Glad your back running JB, hows the head CN, hope you ddint have too many Bishops Fingers!!!

Ran 4.8 miles last night in 38 minutes, that was quick for me but just needed a short blast and get ready for Sundays Plymouth Half, I did this last year in 1:56 but I think the marathon training has taken it out of me but I going to try and get around 1:55 if i can, its very hilly so will start conservatively - I always say that!!

Fantastic - free stuff is good but free stuff you'll use is even better!

Less appealingly I was sent a link to photos of me running on Sunday. Not pretty I can assure you! Who in their right mind would want a photo of a red faced heifer!!!
