:hello: Welcome - the more the merrier!
I would suggest fitting in some resistance work as well - since I started running to the gym and doing some weights I've noticed the weight start to come off again. Also, if you run the same route at the same pace all the time your body learns to do it more efficiently and so uses less energy to complete the same run. Introduce intervals and hill runs to mix it up and keep your body guessing. Try doing your normal circuit in reverse. A couple of us have done this and been surprised at how many of the 'flat' bits on th enormal direction turned into uphills when reversed!
As for the 35miles - just be gald you're not a wench - we apparently have to do an average of 50 miles a week!
:hello:Thanks for the welcome! I've been upping the distance I do and also varying my route and plan to continue doing that. I live in one of the hilliest and highest points in London (Crystal Palace), so there are plenty of uphills to do when I feel like punishing myself for some indulgence or other :rotfl:. Good point about resistance work. The only weights I have at home are OH's girlie ones and I consider them cheating! Then again push-ups are harder nowadays that I'm carrying 10kg more than my ideal weight.
At the moment it's my legs that give up first (the weight must make a difference). I used to be really sporty so my lungs and heart seem happy to go on indefinitely! At any rate, my aim is to be doing 15-20 miles a week. I'm sure that must help you lose weight, depending on how much extra you're carrying in the first place!

The Runner's world website is good for fartlek programmes and the like to keep it fresh. They also do a good race listing. Alternatively google '10k half marathon London' and see what comes up.26.2.19/14.1.19: T MC 3629.26/3629.26 : VM 0% 1050/13876.59 : W 0% 100/1485 = 4409.26/18990.85 =25.17%28.1.19/28.1.19 Hubs 0% £400/£2,977 =13.44%SPC 2019 #073
