Hi all, had to post to say have been out tonight!!!
My runchum called off, still exhausted from her honeymoon, poor thing!
So i did the decent thing and went out again on my own, well with Erin and her bike.
Ran 5, walked til recovered maybe 90secs? x 3 then on the way back managed to run 10 mins without stopping!!!!
Yay me!!!!! reckon i covered maybe 3/4 of a mile, which i know isn't much really and is so so slow! but it's all about time just now for me to try and get back to where i was 2/3 weeks ago, i.e running for 10.
so feeling pleased, and having a rewarding shower in a bit, and trying to avoid eating anything before bed!!
Have just reread this and realised it sounded like i did 3/4 of a mile in the whole time... i did the3/4 of a mile without stopping, about 2 miles all in all.
Purely for my own reference, really, as i often look back on this thread to see how i'm getting on. Well prior to my set back!!
So annoyed today, have been pottering about the house today and was expecting my runchum anytime about half two-ish. 4 o'clock and still no sign, so i texted her. then at quarter past five i texted her and said "i'm going out alone, have been waiting all day" am more !!!!ed off than ever, she calls me and says oh i'll be over within the hour if you haven't gone out.
So here i am waiting on her, expecting her about 6.20, so probably will see her about 7pm!!!!!

Well folks the rage seemed to convert to a good run!!!
feeeling extra extra pleased with myself!!
Ran 15 (count em 15!!!) minutes, the grand total of 1 mile!!!
Then walked til recovered (2mins tops), another 15mins, walked til recovered(2mins tops) then another 10 mins til home again.
Reckon it was over 3 miles so have covered the 5k distance now!!!!!!
Feeling so happy!!!!!!!!!!!!
Forgiven runchum, as i know i run better with her, and she was so pleased to see me and so nice about my helping at the wedding... i hadn't the heart to be raging for long.

Managed 1.1m offroad running today with a couple of minute walking break after nearly 1/3 mile uphill.. Why is off road running so much harder than road running! Well.. apart from the obvious flatness... stable terrain.. etc...
Runchum still isn't up to running.. looks like I'm on my own from here on in..Total 'Failed Business' Debt £29,043

You can do it Sar, you are one of the most motivated and dedicated people I know. Can't say I'm any good at running off road....think I will struggle at my RFL as its all off road :eek:I'll make a wish, take a chance, make a change And breakaway. Hello runners, sounds like you're all doing well!! Just got home, still bloomin tired but what a great experience!! We started off at 11.45pm (after hanging around since 8.30, wouldn't turn up that early if I did it again, even though they tell you too, there's no need!)... and got back 8 hours and 52 minutes later. Found it hard around 2am when it was at it's darkest, and when we hit half way - on a freezing cold seafront at 4am  The atmosphere kept us going though, all you could see in either direction was a long line of pink hats bobbing along
Had just mildly achy feet and legs until somewhere between miles 21 and 22 when the inside of my left thigh started to object, shortly joined by the right one, so did the last couple of miles in a curious "shuffling cowboy" style :rotfl:Sooo amazing though to come over the finish line with loads of people there cheering.
Was very stiff yesterday, and so tired, only had about two hours sleep in the morning - was out like a light last night though, and feeling just a bit tight in the legs today.. I think it's a bit like childbirth, you say never again when you're feeling the pain but afterwards you forget how bad it was :rotfl:
Thanks Maz for the texts - it really helped with the motivation! xxDebt@16.12.09 £10,362.38, now debt free as of 29.02.2012."I cannot make my days longer so I strive to make them better."0
