blooody hell sally!! well done!!
Puts my run5/walk3 x 3 in the shade! Mind you i'm pleased as we went right after work, at my workplace then home within an hour of half five finish time. i.e. half six (i.e. in time to make the tea!!)
But still managed the 5 minutes so am pleased, can't say it was easy though, i really need to work on my breathing. I ended up panting all the way round tonight. I'm trying to breath but it's just not going in!!! I breath in but all it does is feel like it's not reaching deep enough, then i puff it out again! Had a stich and all the breathing deep wasn't touching it, but i ran thru it!! yay me!!I'm just a seething mass of contradictions....(it's part of my charm!)0 -

Maz I find that my breathing and running is really quite awful for the first 5 mins. I think that if you continued it would settle down. After the first 5 mins I find my body seems to get used to it and gets into a routine. Saying that my legs are mighty tired tonight.
Your doing so well too, your at 5 mins now and this will go up. Are you doing the race for life or did I imagine that?I'll make a wish, take a chance, make a change And breakaway. I'll take a risk, take a chance, make a change and breakaway ....

yeah RFL in Aberdeen on 20th(ish) of June.....
so plenty time!
Have done it twice before 2005/2006, and did a 10k in 2006 as well. So i know it can be done.
Just need to keep my head in the game. Am enjoying it....!
My runchum is away for the weekend but have taken the communal ironman watch and have the loops set for run5/walk3 again on sunday on my own, so that when we move onto 7 mins next week it mightn't be such a shock!!
And now i've commited the fact that i am doing it on sunday to webdom, then i will have to do it!!! won't i????I'm just a seething mass of contradictions....(it's part of my charm!)0 -
you will be fine, loads of time for RFL and your run on sunday im sure will be great. I run on my own (my friend who started out with me fell pregnant, and had to stop) and actually I prefer it as I can run at my own pace, when and where I like. You just need to make sure you have the motivation when you're on your own as no-one to cajole you along!
Will be thinking about you on sunday...will want a report back.
No running for me until Monday morning now, and that will be a 20 min one.I'll make a wish, take a chance, make a change And breakaway. I'll take a risk, take a chance, make a change and breakaway ....

Afternoon all :hello: Back in the house exactly 4 hours after I left having done the planned 15 miles (with a couple of stops to admire the view, ended up right on the edge of city looking out into the countryside, lovely
). Don't feel anything like as tired as I have done on previous long walks... and kind of glad the Moonwalk starts at midnight though, just because it means it shouldn't be as hot as today, my feet got pretty swollen.. and my hands a bit as well!
Anyway, it was good!Debt@16.12.09 £10,362.38, now debt free as of 29.02.2012."I cannot make my days longer so I strive to make them better."0
