Jelly_Babies wrote: »:hello: ISOM - I just loved the Runners World edition this month - I felt they had written it just for me :rotfl: What Running Book did you get, I have a few (naughty I know) but the best programme I have followed is FIRST - which says run less, run faster - sounds good to me!
Am soooooooooo worried about next Sunday - yes NEXT SUNDAY - cannot believe how quick it has come round. Not done a long run for 2 weeks and now feel that I am just pretending I can run. Going out for a plod tomorrow, Sunday and then Weds and then off to London on Friday
Slightly concerned about the cost of the FLM - i.e. iron on numbers/paper, accomodation, money when we are there but me and OH feel this is such a big deal and a once in a life time opportunity that we will not feel too guilty about it. British Gas have inadvertently paid towards my hotel bill with their refund :T
SW - how are things with you, hope you are resting up?
FMOW - how is the secret exercise
RS - I saw the other day how well you were doing with your walking and forgot to say well done - there is a midnight walk in Manchester and I really fancy doing it.
Off to do some work now, I did !!!!!! all yesterday as I was so distracted by marathon stuff - I think it is sending me loopy

Hi JB, wow I can't believe the marathon is next weekend! It's been fascinating reading about everyone's build up to it - I'll be watching on TV and trying to guess who you all are! :rotfl:
I'm really enjoying the walking, did 14 miles at the weekend and am definitely feeling fitter - I was generally achy but it eased off a lot quicker than before. Am interested to see how the midnight start affects things, I think the sun rising towards the end will be goodDebt@16.12.09 £10,362.38, now debt free as of 29.02.2012."I cannot make my days longer so I strive to make them better."0 -

My best time is 4 hours and 17 minutes. I was hoping for a sub 4 hour this time. but as I have been training with a chest infection since Christmas, I think this is going to be optimistic. Hope I wont have to employ the street cleaners though“The primary cause of unhappiness is never the situation but your thoughts about it.” Eckhart Tolle0

Hello peeps
Im back, have rested for nearly 2 weeks, with lots of physio, lots of bike in the gym, lots of cross trainer, lots of swimming, lots of boredom!!!
Have now run 3 times since injury, only 4 miles at a time but I did this last night and felt better, its going to be a slow one for me, aiming for 10:30 -11:00 min mile pace now just to get round without it going again; If I can break 5 hours now I will be over the moon. Very nervous now and just want it done and dusted, but Im going to enjoy it and have some banter with the crowd and do you know what Ive only gone and made it, after being through a crap March (training wise), my wife has been my support an my boy said to me after the last time the hammy went. Dad - You can do this and you will do it for me!! (Lump in throat time), so Im doing it for them and of course the £3500 ive raised for charity.
Good luck everyone
