Hi all,
Jelly, when you do the FLM the crowds really help, especially as you get to the tricky bits - so I'm sure the extra 6 miles shouldn't be too much of a problem on the day. There is usually a big group at mile 17 (runner's world) and obviously lots at the end, even if you are very slow. My OH and sister got a day pass for the tube and kept popping up from about mile 17 (that was mudchute in '05) onwards, then they met me at the end.
ISOM, hope you get the go ahead from the consultant. I'm taking it fairly easy until I have had my blood tests on Friday, but after yesterday I feel pretty good, even though I've done nothing for ages.Lightbulb moment Feb 2008. the secret exercise is quite secret even in my real life. don't know why, its daft really. i do quite a lot but never make a big deal of it, guess i don't want peopls judgements.
good luck with the tapering0 -

Thank you jelly - I am feeling more positive today as it has loosened a little, I still cant run but think by the weekend I will see a big differance. yes swimming and biking to keep the fitness up. I will be jogging it really slowly so not to overstretch the hammy and try to have a good time out on the day and then get on it in the evening!!!

How are FLM'ers doing? I'm hoping to get out for a plod this weekend. My runners world just arrived & mum got me a running book this weekend so no excuse...other than being a lazy cow!Nerd no 109 Long haulers supporters DFW #1! Even in the darkest moments, love and hope are always possible.0

:hello: ISOM - I just loved the Runners World edition this month - I felt they had written it just for me :rotfl: What Running Book did you get, I have a few (naughty I know) but the best programme I have followed is FIRST - which says run less, run faster - sounds good to me!
Am soooooooooo worried about next Sunday - yes NEXT SUNDAY - cannot believe how quick it has come round. Not done a long run for 2 weeks and now feel that I am just pretending I can run. Going out for a plod tomorrow, Sunday and then Weds and then off to London on Friday
Slightly concerned about the cost of the FLM - i.e. iron on numbers/paper, accomodation, money when we are there but me and OH feel this is such a big deal and a once in a life time opportunity that we will not feel too guilty about it. British Gas have inadvertently paid towards my hotel bill with their refund :T
SW - how are things with you, hope you are resting up?
FMOW - how is the secret exercise
RS - I saw the other day how well you were doing with your walking and forgot to say well done - there is a midnight walk in Manchester and I really fancy doing it.
Off to do some work now, I did !!!!!! all yesterday as I was so distracted by marathon stuff - I think it is sending me loopy :cool:Long haulers supporters DFW #109NR Loan #1 - £2951.18 Nov 08/0
