Evening all
Really sorry to hear that you are out Pania. I have tried to write on your diary numerous occasions but it doesn't seem to like me. You have to do what's right though and there's no point making yourself feel worse. Next year will be just fine!
I am sat here knackeroonied! Did the Bath Half Marathon today and did it in 1hr 59 :j :j :j That means I am 16 mins faster than the North Run last year, feel bl00dy brilliant, the training must be paying off! Think I could have pushed myself a bit harder but I don't want to push it too much with the marathon coming up. Loved it though (obviously not at the time but afterwards!)
Well done on the walk RS and resisting the smellsdefinately, definately get new trainers. I was getting so injured and as soon as I changed my trainers the change was amazing, I found the ones I wanted in the shops and then got them a lot cheaper on the internet.
Retiring to bed now with a cup of tea and a book0 -
Well done both. That is a pretty good half marathon time. You should be pleased. You shouldn't have any problem with the marathon particularly as you had something left at the end.
I went out for an hour today. Planning to do a long run tomorrow. Make that today - I have just noticed the time!“The primary cause of unhappiness is never the situation but your thoughts about it.” Eckhart Tolle0 -

You can call me CJ if you like. Most people on these threads call me Chris though!“The primary cause of unhappiness is never the situation but your thoughts about it.” Eckhart Tolle0

Hi everyone and hi to Blackangel - I did the Bath Half yesterday as well, and I finished in 1:59 too!! what a coincidence.
Glad you're pleased with your time, I would have liked to be a bit quicker but I did Reading Half two weeks ago, and a 13mile run last weekend, so my legs are feeling overloaded at the moment,
Which marathon are you doing? I'm doing Edinburgh at the end of may.Debts March 2008 - £39,0000 -

Hi Jessica - that's a coincidence! Well done!
I really enjoyed it once I got going but I thought beforehand and the afterwards was a real mess - took me ages to get through the scanning point. It messed up all my hydration/hunger etc as well due to the delay. I would have like to do better but I did 19 miles last week as well, so I think once I start tapering I should start feeling better! I am doing the big London one and getting nervous now.0 -
Well done BA and Jessicad- Great time; You are going to be fine for the marathon
Pania - Really really sorry to hear you are out
After my injury I managed 12 miles yesterday and felt OK, leg is a little tight this morning but nothing to worry about, going to do 16 on Sunday and then 16 the following Sunday then 10 the weekend before the Marathon
Your right BA - getting very apprehensive now, my 20 miler was on the 24th February, then the injury, now working back up; Before that I had done 1 x 16 and 3 x18's so I hope I havent lost too much

hugs all feeling nervous for "the big one" - can totally understand why and have little to offer as cannot imagine running 2 at the moment, never mind the whole ammt! I'd be worried about tummy & loo!! Will be thinking of you all in the weeks ahead - as I do already when I see people out running! AM hoping to go to wrn tonight but have a continuation of yesterdays migraine. Cheap red wine is NOT for me - this is the third ime I've had a 2 day migraine following cheap red so clearly a lesson...less but better! Hugs all!Nerd no 109 Long haulers supporters DFW #1! Well done BA, that's a great time :T Definitely going to take your advice on the trainers, I know I'm not getting enough support from the ones I've got. Got one very tight calf muscle today - why just one I'm not sure, I'm wandering around feeling like one leg is shorter than the other
