Ouch, hope you're ok!
I've not been able to do anything this weekend as my lower back decided to seize up on me Thursday night. Really annoying as I'd planned a lovely ten mile walkIt's easing off now, but I think I need to go back to doing something like pilates for some core strength.
Hope everyone else is doing alright!!Debt@16.12.09 £10,362.38, now debt free as of 29.02.2012."I cannot make my days longer so I strive to make them better."0 -
:hello: fellow runners and walkers
Am just sat with feet in warm fizzy water. I did 13 miles today but not without a mini tantrum it has to be saidBasically chased my DH for 8 miles as he's faster than me and then flipped, stropped, cried (yes in public :rotfl: ) asked if he deliberately picked the hilliest runs, and proceeded to rant that I was dropping out of the marathon. Gave him the house key and declared that I was getting the bus home. After a great deal of persuasion DH decided to run ahead...... then I felt rather stupid and kicked myself up the !!!! and ran home :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:
Sure it's hormones:rolleyes: so including rants and strops I did 13 miles in 2hrs 02Bless DH though, he was encouraging me so much as I was so mardy - ah well, what else are husband's there for
RS and ISOM, hope you are both feeling able to do something soon - would send you a dodgy hug, but they are just too dodgy0 -

Hope you're ok SW - I know I have been very very achey and twingey last few weeks, are your trainers ok? I am replacing mine in hope that fixes things.
Fingers crossed as I can only imagine how gutted I would be if I didn't get to do the Marathon, esp after all the training. Really hope you are ok to do it.
Good luck0 -
Yes we are all in that worrying 6 weeks before the Marathon stage. Just been for a long run and fighting the negative thoughts about whether I will be ready enough.
Hope the hamstring is going to be OK SW and the lower back redsquirrel.
BA - doesn't sound you have much to complain about. You have someone there to encourage you and bring the best out in you! I know it probably does not seem like it at the time. Oh and can I have one of those dodgy hugs?“The primary cause of unhappiness is never the situation but your thoughts about it.” Eckhart Tolle0 -
Wise words as ever cnoelj! I think it is just the impending task ahead and I have so many doubts about whether I can do it, paranoid about injury and also suffer negative thoughts whilst running - really need to find other things to think about instead
How is your training going BTW
oh and here you go :grouphug: :grouphug:0 -
great idea!!
I did the Reading Half Marathon yesterday and am aching today! Really bad race unfortunately but I'm doing the Bath half in two weeks time so will hopefully have a better day out then
Am training for the Edinburgh Marathon on the 25th May, and then doing triathlon's all summer leading to a half Ironman in September.
Good luck to everyone, running is fantastic way to keep fit, fight body fat and improve confidence and all you need is a decent pair of trainers!Debts March 2008 - £39,0000 -
Hi all
Just got back, Physio says it isnt torn because I would be liming when walking and Im not, its just a bit tight; Have to stay off the running for a week and get on the bike and then we can re-evaluate, he reckons there will be no problem with running the marathon in 6 weeks22/07/07 Debt - Tesco 17644 (6.1%) - Now 10500
