Really peed off as I hurt my foot at the gym mon and no better, been to A&E, have to go back for an xray tomorrow - think its a stress fracture. Great, just what I need! Was really enjoying the running too :0( xx
Thats a real bummer MS - But they thought I had this and they wouldn't s-ray it for 2 weeks as apparantly it doesnt show up, in the end didnt need it x-rayed as it was a tendon problem from increased mileage
Good luck with it22/07/07 Debt - Tesco 17644 (6.1%) - Now 10500

Hi SW, we'll have to exchange numbers and say hello - saying that though after my appalling run this afternoon 4 hours seems a huge way off
was supposed to do 8 miles but route ended up only being 7 and my legs ached so so much, think the big run on Sunday took it's toll. I have rubbed deep heat on since I got home, maybe I should put it on before I go? Is it normal to ache so much? I don't feel injured just a bit achey and tired. Was very cross with myself afterwards.
Have today decided that I need to start thinking about what I'm going to wear and in particular in the underwear department. I spent most of the run dealing with uncomfortable pants today :rotfl: so I'm on a mission to deal with this issue! I also had to crouch behind a wall for a wee - may need a catheter on the day!
Glad it's not just me who gets nervous before a long run, my preoccupation however seems to be with going to the toilet, last week there was a rather unattractive pose just off the main road
Glad the rugby went ok and sorry to hear about your foot MS, hope it's not as bad as you fear.0 -
lol black agngel as its something thats always worried me - where to pee! At the allotment I just shut the door & go in the shed! (pouring it into compost!) I also worry about runners belly as am prone to IBS when stressed!! Well doe on the runs all of you - am dead impressed!
My garmin 205 arrived today & I've been fiddling with it! Much easier than the forerunner 50 and easy menus but still getting the hang of it! Weather is awful but hoping that tomorrow I'll at least be able to go for a nice walk with it!Nerd no 109 Long haulers supporters DFW #1! Think it's a woman thing ISOM - I even considered designing some running trousers with a velcro underflap for emergency situations :rotfl: Can you believe DH suggested I went commando - oh purlease can you imagine the pain after 26.6 miles in the nether regions
Am afraid I experienced "runners trots" on the last few runs- TMI I know but we are all runners united - just trying to eliminate things from my diet now to see if anything triggers it.
Glad you like your 205, I love mine, never go without it now When are you able to start running again?0 -
Have just done 17 miles in 2hr 39 :j :j :j now going to pass out quietly on the settee. Hit the wall but carried on, it was a killer but feel very pleased now0

WOW! Well done you! :T:T:T
I did 6 miles walking today as per my training plan, wasn't too bad at all, except when I decided to do my grocery shopping in the last mile and bought too much, my legs are fine but my shoulders hurt - sure my arms are about 2 inches longer now! The supermarket was a handy toilet stop as well, I'm quite concerned about this for the Moonwalk, as I, erm, seem to pee more often than normal people anyway and even more so when I'm nervous - it's going to have a serious effect on my time if I'm stopping every half hourDebt@16.12.09 £10,362.38, now debt free as of 29.02.2012."I cannot make my days longer so I strive to make them better."0 -
Wo BA all power to you! Ll re the "rubbing"!! I read on an article that you can get special creams and think you can get seam free knickers but that doesent stop the "access" problems us girlies have eh! Am worried about the runners trots! Cant run for another week at least. Ideally they said 6 weeks
but going to try after 3 and she said I would know faily soon if it was too much! Really impressed with 17 miles though! So come on now mrs what does the wall actually feel like? Can you explain!!
Hope you sort it RS! I know what you mean & I already have to practice my pelvic floor excercised with alarming regularity!! And blokies before you poopoo that (!) you need to too!! I assume they have loos along the route?Nerd no 109 Long haulers supporters DFW #1! Even in the darkest moments, love and hope are always possible.0 -
Thank you all but boy do I ache this morning  coming down the stairs was an absolute killer!
I drive DH mad as I am so obsessed about the toilet on runs. I didn't have the obligatory number two beforehand (TMI I know :rotfl: ) so I was stressing all the way and then made two toilet trips to remedy the situation -walking into a random quiet pub on a Sunday afternoon and everyone stared at me - but needs must and all that
And the wall - it's vile - my legs just seized and I just stopped dead and declared "I can't do it you'll have to get the car" :rotfl: Bless DH though, he encouraged me to do the last few miles and was brilliant - he's very useful at times, but I think it is really psychological as well.
ISOM - be careful you don't run too soon, but I'm sure you'll be able to tell yourself how you are feeling.
RS - lol, only a woman would stop at the shop during a training walk. I am using my Garmin for my time and I stop it when I have a wee so my FLM time will be "my" time after toilet stopsand you will find somewhere to wee - bushes are good. Why do men have it so easy?
