Urm, sorry but I can't work out that gmap thing, I keep finding myself plotting routes around Mexico, which might be more interesting than Surrey but not very DFW getting there!
How do you make it zoom in on your home patch?
QUOTE]
Put your home town in the jump to box, then press more options, then after the jump to box you can select and go down to UK - does that work?0 -
Wow, i love that gmap thing. I just managed to work out that the route I run is 1.3 miles. I only need to do it four times and it will be my race for life run. Gulp! Just realised the enormity of my task. BA, I am impressed at you running over 4 miles in 39 mins.
I will put my stuff by the bed and get up and out tomorrow. I promise.
Not that far, Sammy, Race For Life is only 5K which is 3.1(ish) miles... does it feel better now?
Well done to all those getting up early and running, I tend to find if I do it first thing I'm full of energy for the morning then knackered all afternoon. Before my Race For Life I was just doing twice a week in the gym after work plus some fast walking from home to the shops etc, gonna have to up that a bit if I want to do a 10K!
At the moment I'm trying to get rid of the nasty cold I've picked up... hopefully back to training next week!

Sorry - I've read the instructions now.
My 'mile' was 1.49 miles! I can't actually believe that. What a great tool though.Total debt: 1 January 2007 £[strike]49,387.79[/strike] 1 January 2012 £[STRIKE]19,312.85[/STRIKE] 1 August 2012 £11,517.620 -
Please note that because I'm complete carp at anything technical I managed to choose a name that is virtually the same as someone else's. I am the old-fashioned one who has used capitals: OliveOyl, but there's a much more savvy poster called oliveoyl. I think we're friends
she does nice encouraging posts on my diary. But to be polite to her, if anyone can tell me how to edit my name so that it's more noticably different, but still has the essence of me I'd be grateful.
But yes I'm your cheerleader, because you can't see that I look more like Popeye or Wimpy in my rara skirt with them shaking things.0 -

Durrrrr! What a twit. I was getting my miles and km's mixed up. good job you told me redsquirrel. Can you imagine me training for the next six weeks and wondering why everyone else had stopped running. Its only 2 and half times round - thats better!!!Quality is doing something right when no one is looking - Henry Ford
