I started running at the beginning of September, because I invested in a Nike+ kit (figuring that the ony way I would run with any regularity was if I could geek it up somehow). Since then I've passed 50km in 13 runs and feel a great deal fitter in the process.

Didn't lose any weight as yet, but my goal was to get out there and do it, rather than anything more specific. I'm taking a week off at the moment, cos I'm poorly :( but intend to resume next Monday.

I'm doing the Couch to 5k plan (google it!) to ease my way into it, but I'm aiming to do a half marathon in the distant future. I would see if I don't grind my knees into a fine powder before committing!

I went out for a 3 miler last night, ran with a colleague from work and we both agreed it was a good run and pushed each other along. So now we're going to do it every Friday eve, she'll come to me one week and I'll go to hers the next. Great motivation!

Aiming to go out later today, have a good weekend.

Hey guys, great to hear you are all doing so well. HBL love the idea of geeking it up a bit, went out for a really long walk yesterday and found a fabby running spot, so may head on up there tomorrow and have a run, work demands permitting! Off for a long walk along the beach today to with mums dog so that will be my fitness for the day.
Have put an application in for the city of norwich half marathon on 2nd december so need to build it up again! eep!!

Morning all! Got my parents visiting for a few days so no time for running, luckily they like walking though so will be taking them out for a couple of long rambles :) Have made a pact with a mate to do next year's Great North Run - I think 11 months is long enough to get fit (please remind me of this statement next year when I've not done enough training :o:rotfl:)

Oh and I missed the rugby, damn - my home country are out but at least my adopted country are through! :D
