    How often does that happen?

I did the Southend half Marathon a few months ago in 2 hours and 30 odd seconds. I do 10ks in 50 mins and 10 seconds and the like. I dont really have an accurate running watch and if I kept a closer eye on it I am sure it would help.

Anyway well done Hobsch and I am sure you break the 2 hours!

Yes I said I would do that today didn't I.

I will contact MacMillan who I have run for before and get news updates from. My dad died of cancer a year last Sunday so I will be running in his memory.

We have hit the 1000 post mark!

Done it P. I have requested a Gold Bond application form on line.

I have applied through the ballot, requested this Gold Bond application form and the running club is usually allocated one or two places for members, so hopefully I will get in one way or another. Just wandering whether I should look at other charities too.

  • Re the charity places, do you just apply to as many as you can and hope for the best? I have put my name in the general ballot and registered with a few of the charities last night but not sure how many to register with and who expect a lot of sponsorship.

    Help!!!!!

  • Is there a closing date for the charity applications or can you apply once the results are out from the general ballot?

Do try and do it before. I made this mistake last year and found that charities were able to allocate places immedietly the ballot results come out. Your chances are much more limited if you wait until then

    Hi one and all, :hello:

I have been a complete recluse for a while, work has been really busy we have an Estyn inspection in the college in Jan so we are preparing for that Also, I have started 3 courses; British Sign Language, Welsh and the 2nd year of my PGCE so no time to myself at all.

So I've done no running and feel yucky (I think that's the technical term). DH is away until tomorrow so as soon as he's back I getting out for a little plod!

    Hope everyone is well

    Ev xx
