Selling your Stuff on Amazon Part 10 - Discussion Thread

Feedback here had just about recovered from the mad unhelpful 'buyer' - this morning DH went to pack up a disc he'd sold, to find the case was empty.
If the buyer is (understandably) cross despite an instant refund, I hope he doesn't leave feedback.
This afternoon's job is checking the remaining CD's. Hey ho.0 -

Poor DH, I know that sinking feeling when the case of a 'sold' item turns out to be empty. It's happened to me twice:o . I now double check that the CD/DVD is really in the case before I list the items.
Best of luck with finding it. You can always relist if he does.0 -
Thanks Impomdasp - the extremely polite buyer emailed to say it's not his first attempt to buy this particular disc, and he considers himself jinxed!0

It has happened to me too! Although not with a CD but a book. It really hurt refunding the £17 to the buyer lolDEBT FREE AND LOVING LIFE0

 I thought it would happen - the strike has left me with a negative feedback!!
I have emailed the buyer and said this, but doubt whether it will have any effect.
Hi there
I have just noticed that you have left me negative feedback, yet state that the book was ok. I am pressuming the negative feedback was left because of a slow delivery due to the postal strike.
If this is the case, would you be so kind as to remove the feedback rating as I had no control over that. To penalise me for the strike, means that my selling ability on Amazon is severley reduced (as soon as people see the negative they will go elsewhere). I posted the book within the 2 days required by Amazon and I did email you to state this, including a reminder about the postal strike.
I am not a business but a stay at home mum trying to make a bit of extra money. If you can see your way to remove the feedback, then this would be appreciated.
Thank you in anticipation of your help.
Regards
Donna
I am starting to feel like I really don't need this s**t!!

Oh no, Donna you must be really upset. When I got a 3/5 once I actually cried, but luckily the buyer removed it.
What exactly did they say on the neg and how low were the stars? If it mentioned posting or postage then Amazon CS might remove it for you if you ask.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the eBay, Auctions, Car Boot & Jumble Sales, Boost Your Income, Praise, Vents & Warnings, Overseas Holidays & Travel Planning , UK Holidays, Days Out & Entertainments boards. Hi Soolin
It was a 3/5 and I got one of these before and the buyer removed it. For some reason, I don't think this person will. The comment just said 'the book was good'.
I will contact Amazon but I don't hold out any hope!!

My 3/5 came from a buyer who changed her mind and was refunded before I'd got the jiffybag out!
I asked her very politely to remove it, as up to that point I'd been on 100%, but she never did.0 -
I've had two 3/5 since starting selling on Amazon. One was from somebody who stated that he had found the item cheaper elsewhere! I must have forgotten that I'd forced him to buy the CD off me! :wall:0

I've managed to sell the same book twice within the space of a week.
Today's sale was through Greenmetropolis - second sale in two days! Shame I sold the book on Amazon already
If anybody has got a copy lying around there's a buyer waiting on Greenmet!
