FFM what is the pay per drop system that you mentioned? Is it something I can buy off e-bay?

    It's a seller on Ebay http://myworld.ebay.co.uk/payperdrop_uk

I did use Selective but I don't know if you've seen the thread that is ongoing - they became a complete disaster http://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/showthread.html?p=5499711#post5499711

I've used PPD once so far and they were brilliant, I booked late one night, they collected 11am and delivered the next day before lunch. My buyer was highly delighted - looks quite impressive having DHL deliver.

I'm not too concerned about heavy books now as the £5.99 covers up to 30kg.

    Hi.
I am a pro merchant seller on Amazon and sell books succesfully on two other sites. I wish i'd known about this thread when i first started using Amazon as there is a lot of useful information- especially in the opening post.

I'd be interested to know what peoples experiences are with using bar code readers. What benefits are there and how exactly do they work?
There is no such word as "bidded". I bid, you bid, they bid, Ebid ;)

here's a weird one..my listings are on holiday mode and just out of nothing better to do I checked to make sure nothing was listed. Out of approx 1100 listings all are on holiday mode except for one that is available for purchase and shows up on a customer search.

  • It may be one of those listings that didn't get deleted when Amazon had one of its 'outages'. I've got a 'zeroed' book in my open listings - it's been there for quite a while now - I need to get round to checking if it has sold or needs to be relisted (it may have been a pending).

Although your book shows up as available, it might be possible that it cannot be bought. Do you have a close friend or relative that could try to buy it and then you refund them? At least you would know for sure.

Hi and welcome to the thread.

I have a bar code reader, but it only really comes in to its own when I have a mountain of books (with a bar code) to list. It then makes the whole process really fast. If you're only listing a handful at a time it's not worth it.
