Selling your Stuff on Amazon Part 10 - Discussion Thread

I guess I should start by saying hi, so hi
I read a few, or rather a lot, of the posts from the last Amazon thread and it inspired me to start trying to sell things again. I have just finished uni so anything I can shift shaves a little more off the overdraft.
Of the items I listed on Wednesday I have just sold the most expensive one. OK so £8 for a computer game isn't going to sort my overdraft out in one go, but it feels as good as my first sale. I might have to spend Sunday listing the box of books I have had sat around for the last six months or so. Back in the game
So thanks for getting me started again. I might have to spend some of my free time hunting for new stock.True perfection has to be imperfect,

Welcome to the Amazon thread. It is a great feeling getting those 'Sold, Dispatch Now' emails, getting rid of unwanted clutter and making money at the same time! :T

A swift check of my account says it's my 30th sale but its my first in 10 monthsDefinately as good as my first. If only more than 9 kind souls had left feedback, but thats a common moan, isn't it.
As addictions go, emails from Amazon are about as good a thing to be addicted to as any. Time to break the 50 mark.True perfection has to be imperfect,

That's a point. I used to send everything first class, but that was before the new system was in place as I haven't sold for 10 months.
Has anyone ever had any complaints using second class?True perfection has to be imperfect,

No - I send all mine second class and the few feedback ratings that I do get  always comment on fast delivery!
If you do decide to use first class, make sure you mention it in the item description as a 'selling point'. It might just swing the sale.0 -

That's why I always leave feedback. I try harder than with my Ebay comments too.
Having the money to buy anything from ebay or marketplace is a rarity, but for the few years I have been selling I have put far more effort into the feedback. I don't think any of us who moan about not getting feedback have an excuse for not leaving it as we know how annoying it is.
I don't recall ever looking at all of my feedback, well all 9 entries anyway. 8 were lovely 5 star goodness, I was bloody chuffed with 5 stars for a book I flogged for £75 as I didn't notice the description was slightly off until I sold the book, but one item of feedback troubles me.
"Arrived as described, well wrapped, very promptly" 4/5
So the description was good, I get paranoid about descriptions, it was well wrapped and it arrived promptly. What more do they want from me?True perfection has to be imperfect,

I've had a couple of 4s with the same kind of comment and I did wonder. Now I have the answer but I am not sure if I should send the blood in a glass phial (it might break) or in a plastic one (recyclable of course)2009: Headphones, Nintendo DSi , Baking Kit
