hi all just come for a moan

getting fed up and ready to throw the towel in :undecided only had three sales this month and just had 990 books took off that need re listing due to cancelling my pro merchant subscription

still it might be worth sorting through the books and checking prices ect , and getting rid of the low priced books to make room for some new stock

    Hoorah

I have just had an email to say I've had my first sale on Greenmet! I had decided to list all the cheaper books on both Greenmet and on Amazon. I am pleased because I thought all that listing was for nothing!!

After reading this thread (or rather the one before) and especially Mishka, FFM and Kat's comments, I decided to give Priority Books a try. I called them and they are really lovely and helpful so I bought a pallet and listed almost everything - and I can tell you it is a LARGE amount of books:eek:.

I had estimated that it would take me around 3 months to cover my costs but I wanted to see how it went. Well today I looked at my spread sheet only to realize that I did it in 2.5 weeks :j:j:j:j.

Thank you to all three for the wonderful advice.

I have sold 112 books since I bought it at the end of May. But I have spent most of my free time and all of my weekends listing. I have now listed around 1400 books and still have a few boxes to go through.

  • I bought a job lot at the end of May too, and have also spent every free minute listing (not too many of those - lots of late nights). I have listed about 700 and have sold 85. I got my original investment back after 10 days, but I did list the easy bar coded books first as they are quick to list using the scanner and a generic (but detailed) description.

I've now doubled (okay 2.5 x but don't know how you say that !!!) my original money and have an additional 600+ books in stock (plus the mountain that is still residing in the garage - sore point - my source told me there was only 1000 books - there's still more than 1000 to go)

Don't feel down about it Mishka - keep listing and price checking - also, don't always aim to be the cheapest, alot of my buyers seem to skip over the first few listed. They must be keen believers in 'you get what you pay for'.

    FFM :)
