No claim according to EUclaim flight checker
Unfortunately, our data shows that no compensation-related issues occurred with this flight.
It's very unlikely that you will be successful in getting compensation. We recommend not pursuing your claim further.0 -
Refreshments would be considered after a 2 hour delay. In this case they would have had an indication on whether issuing refreshment vouchers to a plane load of people then sending them off to spend them on food would have caused a further delay (which it likely would have)
If your parents purchased refreshments they could send the receipts in and try for reimbursement.0 -
OMG seriously BA get worse,
They have indeed after receiving my complaint about yesterdays rep replied stating that AA airlines only reissued my tickets to usa and that they are adamant this was on the 12th and that AA had at that point cancelled all my return legs due to ghost bookings. so in there view i didnt have a confirmed booking once in the usa to come home,(they have also now put it in writting)so they dont believe i was denied boarding.
Haha they had no reply to how come i had an itinery issued to me on a Ba ticket slip printed at LGW on the 13 dec @8.30am listing my full flight itinery with full return details and a flight update email on the night of the 12 dec stating my new flight(same ones )
They also seem to be denying AA claim that the flight was fully booked as they state at "no point did they need to offload anyone" and are saying there were seats available , funny thing is i have boarding passes that were reissued after landing in chicago that was before the earlier flight closed and that the same rep who checked us in and helped my husband bypass a rather large security line to get the kids mcdonalds had informed us at the gate that she would have tried to get us on if wasnt a full flight. hmmmm This one i wont drop as i hate liers.
This one i wont drop .NBA will be going first thing am, ill keep you all updated0 -
After a long 6 months, Thomson sent a cheque today for 800 euro compensation.
The sterling equivalent is £563 - which is a 1.41 GBP/EUR exchange rate!
How is the Euro rate calculated? What date is used?0 -

I know a group of 9 people from near where I live who were on the same flight (a group booking) so I told the bloke who booked their flight to press on with court proceedings – Jet2 promptly tried to settle out of court for €3,600 (9x €400). He rejected this as his original request was for interest payment for all 9 people too and he referred to my case settled in June 2015 basically saying I received interest so his group should. However the solicitor acting for Jet2 has rejected this and said;
“The Liverpool County Court has since dealt with the issue of interest specifically concluding that it is not payable in claims brought under the Regulation. Despite this, and should you chose to pursue this matter, I suggest that you take independent legal advice in relation to the same. The offer of my client as outlined below remains open and, should you choose to accept the same so that this matter may be concluded without the need to expend further time and cost, please forward your account details and I shall request that my client transfer settlement monies forthwith”
He has received court papers with next steps and is unsure whether to pursue with his claim through the small claims incase he loses his request for interest. Jet2 have agreed to pay the €3,600 it is just the case to not pay interest which will be defending in court.
Does anyone know if the rules have changed regarding paying interest (what is this re; Liverpool County Court)? I can’t seem to find any articles online which makes me think Jet2 are just using scare tactics to make him accept the €3,600……
Hi, as regards claims for interest, yesterday I received judgement without a hearing on my claim against Easyjet. The claim for the flight compensation was upheld as well as the court fees but my claim for interest was declined, this was from Liverpool County Court.Up the Rams !!0 -
Hi
We where in Florida last year and on the way back we got told we couldn't get on the flight as their where no seats together. We had our 3 year old son with us so obviously couldn't get on that flight as he couldn't sit on his own. They kindly put us in the airport lounge for the 5 hour wait on the next flight but that was delayed 3 hours. There for our total wait to get on the next flight was 8 hours. Do you know where we would stand with this?
Thanks in advance Ronson0 -

You have been denied boarding Ronson and have a valid claim, assuming of course you are heading to a EU airport etc and are within the scope of the regulation.0 -

Anyone got any news / updates on this? (and the post above asks the same thing).
Interest no longer payable? What?0 -
If flight you were denied boarding for would have to have been a European carrier. eg BA Virgin etc0

Morning all im new here and hope I can get some advice from somebody please, I received this letter last week after being delayed on a flight from Berlin to Stanstead on the 23rd December! It was 3 hours and 5 minutes late, they offered voucher for 5 Euro's !! They have sent me this letter :
We acknowledge receipt of your online enquiry dated 17th January 2016.
We wish to confirm that we maintain our position as per our previous correspondence. As this delay was unexpected and therefore outside Ryanair’s control we regret to advise that no monetary compensation is due under EU Regulation 261/2004.
As previously advised, we will be happy to reimburse additional receipted expenses that you may have incurred during the delay time. However, in order to justify this payment, we would require copies of relevant receipts.
Once again we sincerely apologise for the unavoidable disruption to your flight schedule.
Yours sincerely,
Ryanair Customer Services Department0
