Hi all
I have a feeling that this question may have been answered before, forgive me if it has but I've not been able to find anything using the search function.
We travelled Heathrow to Bali a few years ago with Qatar on the one ticket, out change of plane in Doha was delayed by 10 hours and it wasn't a pleasant experience. Are we entitled to claim under the EU ruling? I'm hoping we can, although the non EU departure point might be a sticking point.
I look forward to your advice

Hi, After waiting since the 25th Nov Thomson denied my compensation claim today .
7 hr delay from FL-London
Basically their crew were late arriving to the airport due to their transfer flight from Barbados being delayed on AA.
They are stating the delay outside of their control.
My argument would be use another crew or fly another route (there are more than one flight a day from Barbados to FL!)
So CAA or Small Claims next (I have heard using the CAA can be detrimental in some cases..?)
Appreciate any advice
Thanks0 -
CassarJ .... off to court for you (probably won't get that far) ..... pass the CAA ..... collect your compensation.0

Well the airlines have until tomorrow to lodge an appeal on the Allen case if no appeal it's payments or court.0

Nearly there, over 3 hour delay to Crete last year on Thomas Cook, Ground staff clueless on the day and now after a delay in processing because of the ruling they have now offerd vouchers. Email just sent refusing the vouchers asking for a cheque. Fingers crossed.0

I have just been told by Icelandair that I am not entitled to compensation for a flight delay of 208 minutes from Denver to Keflavik as the distance is in excess of 3500kms, is that correct?
Also due to that delay we missed our connection to London and were put on a later flight which arrived some 8 hours later that our ticketed one. Can anyone tell me if I'm entitled to any compensation for that delay?
All in all not a good experience with this airline, a total of 4 flghts and 4 delays!!!0 -

No. That's complete hogwash.martyjburnham wrote: »Also due to that delay we missed our connection to London and were put on a later flight which arrived some 8 hours later that our ticketed one. Can anyone tell me if I'm entitled to any compensation for that delay?
Not if it was part of the same journey, booked on one ticket.0 -
Hi,
Looking for a bit of advice.
We flew back in 2012 from New York to Newcastle on a Jet2 flight that was diverted to Canada's Goose bay as the plane developed a fault and needed to be fixed on the ground. We were over 4 hours delayed in the end when we arrived into Newcastle.
Is this grounds for compensation?
Thanks in advance0
