I contacted Lufthansa in May over a delayed flight in 2011, just a basic repsonse given to me with a reference number, after that I didnt hear anything so I chased it and again nothing. Today I had a call out of the blue from Lufthansa asking for my bank details as they will be crediting 1800 Euros into my bank - how happy am I!! So don't give up people, just keep fighting0

I travelled from Bangkok to London Heathrow on the 7/7/13. with Thai Air TG916
The flight was delayed and i remember getting a small meal voucher because of the delay.
The websites I have looked at for confirmation of the delay times for both departure and arrival show everything as being on time.
Anyone any idea where i can get accurate information?0 -

The airline will have accurate information. So if you are certain that you were more than 3 hours late on arrival in Thailand, just make your claim in the normal way without reference to the specific timings.
[EDIT: As Caz rightly points out below, no EU compensation is due on a non-EU flight leaving a non-EU airport.]0 -

As the delay was departing from outside the EU on a non-EU carrier, EU compensation does not apply0 -
Hello,
Just wondering if anyone can offer some advice.
My wife and I returned from a holiday to Dalaman in Turkey 11th June. Our flight home was originally scheduled to leave Dalaman 1.45am 10th June and arrive at Newcastle 4.45am 10th June. The flight was delayed for 18 hours meaning we left Dalaman at 7.10pm on the 11th and arrived home at 9.30pm.
The holiday was booked through Dawson and Sanderson and were flying with Thomas Cook.
After contacting both Dawson and Thomas Cook, both are saying we are only entitled to a voucher of £17.00 to cover the in flight meals which were booked in advance but offered free for everyone when the flight was delayed.
Any advice as to where I stand would be great.
Thanks

It sounds to me as though you should absolutely be entitled to compensation for this delay. I would use the template letters on here to contact Thomson, or alternatively use a no win no fee company like bott and co, who are excellent. You may also find more info on the Thomson thread. TCX1866 from Gatwick to Izmir 5th July 2014
TCX1867 from Izmir to Gatwick 12th July 2014
TCX1866 from Gatwick to Izmir 12th July 2014
Was anyone on this forum on any of these flights over the last week or so.. We were on the outbound flight on the 5th and inbound flight on the 12th and suffered delays of 4hrs and over 13hrs respectively...
Very interested to hear from anyone on these flights, particularly anyone on the TCX1866 from Gatwick on the 12th, as we'd love to know what reasons Thomas Cook gave to you for the VERY late departure out to Izmir..??
Thomas Cook shouldn't be allowed to get away with continuing to run aircraft that are over 13 years old, and apparently very likely to break down without having adequate back up plans in place..!!
If you are advised that you are travelling on either G-JMAA or G-JMAB then keep your fingers crossed....0 -
